Don't know why this thread still exists - there's another one for fans to introduce themselves... Maybe for history? My name is Mike and I play in a band called Devourment. Holy crap... I'm also a huge fan of Devourment, they started TXDM, my favourite extreme musick style, that slammin' groove... fukkin' pray...

hi there! I started to listening to Korpiklaani in 2007 when my elder brother bought 4 cds of them at the same time. the first song which I heard was Wooden Pints and I immediately felt in love.. currently it's my fav folk band (because folk metal is in my opinion the best kind of music!) and my love to their music and finnish language too were the reasons why I decided to study.. finnish language.. thank you, guys, for wonderful music which affect my life so much!

I think official fan clubs and street teams often breed bureaucracy and exclusivity and lose sight of the forest for the trees... often losing the fun and cheer that spontaneously develop out of loving the music. We're all happy little boozers even without any structure

There are some fanclubs, a few on myspace, and there is a 'happy little boozer' fanclub on facebook. Also on deviant art a fanpage exists. The funniest is the founding of a happy little boozer fest in Last-fm. on july 20 everyone should celebrate www.last.fm/group/Little+Boozer+fest++20.07but here we have our own private fanclub on this forum, where also bandmembers come by... so what do we want more?

I think the first time I heard Korpiklaani was when the video for Wooden Pints came out... Someone sent me a link telling me it was funny, so I checked it out and just fell in love with this band! I always liked folk metal like finntroll but I also loved thrash and heavy metal... and most folk bands I knew back then where more like black metal, with growls and shit, and they where mostly about dark atmosphere, like Moonsorrow. So the Wooden Pints (and spirit of the forest in general) sound was just what I always wanted to hear! And they really helped me develop my excessive drinking habits
