jonne: you are a cruel man! ;D Much more cruel than Hunnun herra! ROTFL!!!!! Yes, jonne: that is a very cruel thing to do to your poor, loyal but Finnish-language-challenged fans... ;D Time to break out my trusty Finnish-English dictionary... I'm learning too you know... Ok, the title appears to be "Who is The Lord of Huntu?" (although according to my dictionary it should be Who is MISTER Huntu! haha) ...OK Humppaporo your turn... By the way, I have to add further impressions as I keep listening to this album more... Vesilahden verajilla hit me hardest and still does, but coming in tied for second are Misty Fields and Let's Drink. Let's Drink for that amazing rhythm! I can't stop bouncing up and down when I listen to it and Misty Fields partially for the great melody, and partially because Jonne's voice seems particularly stunning here, a bit hoarse and so beautiful

I voted for the song "Viima" but it was really a tie between "Viima", "Tervaskanto", and "Vesilahden Verajilla". I like "Viima" not only because I like the melody and the music, but also the lyrics. They are simple yet they are able to convey a sense of feeling and mood and what wind is and how the wind makes one feel. I also like the way the intro to the song sounds like an old record playing. I have heard old folk songs with similar themes and when I hear this song I can picture a group of people singing this in a tavern or at a party in a village. I like the song "Tervaskanto" because when I was first reading the lyrics (before I read the explanation at the bottom) I noticed that the old stump was a euphemism for an old man, and how sometimes the elderly are seen as useless, but in reality they have been around longer than you and have years of expirence and wisdom behind every wrinkle. I can picture an old man sitting down and singing about all the things that have played out over his lifetime as well as continuing the folk traditions that he feels are fading away with the younger generations. I like the song "Vesilahden Virajilla" because of the legend it is based on, which I will look into now that I know the legend exists. I have been interested in folklore and mythology from a very young age. I am curious to know which events the legend is based upon and what actually took place to give rise to such a legend. I will look in the library to see if I find anything. I will check both Finnish and Russian acounts to see what I can find.

My favorite is "Viima". My friends at work don't seem to understand this type of music.

I think my favourite is Palovana because it's relatively slow yet upbeat at first, if that makes any sense! I really love the sounds of the chorus. It's a great sing-along-song, even though I don't speak any Finnish ;D

A great battle between Palovana, Viima and Vesilahden Veräjillä. But I chose Palovana. Beautiful acoustic guitars in the beginning and then a great "folk-melodie". And I love the vocals! The lyrics are also something I like to read again and again and think about. And obviously the sing-along-part is great !

Let's Drink is best. It's quite different to my favourite songs yet, but it's fast and funny. Very cool on partys

Palovana is simply a great song, but "Gates of.." comes in a close second.
Its quite hard to chose, I like them all.
