Hi,
From all Korpiklaani songs, I love Pellonpekko most of all. I very much like folk music and modern versions of it, like this one. But I don't know much of scandinavian folk, I'm more into Irish. So I was wondering, what sort of tune is it (like a pol(s)ka,...) ? Is it a traditional tune ? Where can I find sheetmusic and/or recordings of similar tunes ?
And am I free to 'cover' this tune on small gigs with my band ?

Hello. The song could as well be a traditional Bothnian wedding march. I don't know where to get Nordic folk music in your country, wherever you are from. For now I remember that a band called JPP had something similar sounding.. Sure, you can play it on small gigs (nobody will ever know it anyway). But one wish: if you're going to do it like these guys, don't take it on video - I don't want to see that. ;D
