I still think that using an ESP guitar is a sign of professional statement. Like would you see Metallica use some cheap guitar brand? As a guitarist I tend to look at the gear the guitarist uses. If this discussion was about bassists it would be ended pretty quickly with one word: Pastorius. Maybe it's different for guitarists, but I doubt it.

Jaco Pastorius played basically his entire career with the same two Fender Jazz Basses, 1960 fretted and 1962 fretless. I don't see the connection. j.

Well, my understanding of the original premise is that a musician/band can be judged by the apparent quality of their instruments. Jaco's basses were banged up, scratched to hell, they certainly gave the appearance of not being very well cared for and I have heard as much from interviews with his associates - and yet he's one of the greatest. It shows you should not judge a musician by the appearance, quality or even make of their instruments.

kuusuru: LOOKING bad does not implicate 'bad quality' or bad sound. Probably those instruments were worn out by use, BECAUSE they were that good. after all: it is the sound that counts!and like the Biologist said to the frog: 'don't worry about your looks, it is the inside that matters!' ;D

and like the Biologist said to the frog: 'don't worry about your looks, it is the inside that matters!' ;D Or.... Sth from our culture: God gave the frog an apple and sent her to the playground where cubs of all species were playing, asking the frog to give it to the most beautiful one. The frog went there and after a close look, decided to give it to the most ugly, because it was hers, and also it was the most beautiful in her eyes. So I suppose it applies to each musician's instrument, because it's theirs and has a personal significance, no matter what name that one has on it. It's a subjective matter.

My point exactly! Jaco, Eddie, SRV, Ry Cooder... all great guitarists who played beaten up and/or home-made from bits and pieces instruments.

kuusuru: I meant guitar/instrument Brands as apposed to the look of the intstrument. Eg say that Korpiklaani started to use Fender Squires :/ The vintaged guitars are amazing in their own rights. Jonne's will be vintaged in no time haha

Was wondering if you had any future plans on making a live dvd with material filmed at various concerts, videoclips, interviews, and other klaani stuff?

I've been watching recent live videos of the band and noticed that Hittavainen swapped his trusty NS Design for (what looks like) a Bridge violin. As a violinist myself, and mostly content with an NS of my own, I was wondering why and which one you think is better ;D

I could wake with the smell of new-mown hay. I could wake and taste the blood in my mouth. But i can't find a song with this verse. Have anyone this song(or link to hear it) with this words? It's exist? Sorry for my english, greetings from Poland

The guy who mixed the album lost the take, where I sung this verse Wasn't time or money to sing it again afterwards. I wanted anyway put also this verse to the booklet.
