Since 2008 with Paganfest, Korven Kuningas etc is not just one theme, i thought just create a topic about Korpiklaani gigs in general. Who knows a better name, please say so. Unfortunately i could not be at FME, but i heard that Korpiklaani played a good gig there. A friend of mine has been there and made some pictures, they can be found here
Some folks are just lucky: going to FME AND having a photo pitpass

The FME gig was great but really short, only 25 minutes or so. I would have loved to hear the Motörhead cover and maybe even more new songs, but such is life I must have some nerve damage on the part of my brains that recognizes faces: I could swear Jarkko had his old good beard. Anyways, the new HORST look is awesome! ;D

It's good to hear that the gig was great for the guys. The pics are very good. The FME gig was great but really short, only 25 minutes or so. If I'm not totally mistaken now they played 8 songs (Wooden Pints, Korpiklaani, Journey Man, Happy little boozer, Paljon on koskessa kiviä, Hunting Song, Let's drink, Cottages & Saunas). That setlist was one more thing this weekend which totally destroyed my view on this world, now there isn't only Ii lea voibmi missing at the end but also gigs don't start with Journey Man anymore. Nevertheless, I think it was a very good gig even if it was very short also. In general I found that half of the people would have been enough for that hall, you couldn't move anywhere because there were people just everywhere on Saturday. Should have a look through my photos tomorrow (or basically today).

Oh my god! A gig without Journey Man and Il Lea Voibmi...? I can't imagine that. I'm looking forward to see your photos. Better today than tomorrow

There was Journey Man but it was the third song instead of the first one And yes, today since it's already early morning but I think I try to sleep a bit before and do some random nonsense like going to some Swedish pronunciation class where I have to be in 8 hours already actually.

I saw a video on youtube from FME gig (Happy Little Boozer) and the audience seems a little calmly. It couldn't possible in my country ;D ;D ;D As written before, it is possible in Finland. Unfortunately. FME gig was very good, but way too short. Just when one gets into the great mood - the whole thing is over. I'd wish there would've been even 15 minutes more of this playing time, so that it would be possible to hear some new songs as well aside of Paljon on koskissa kiviä. But of course I understand the organisators, who wan't to have there more bands - in which I see the reason for folly 25 min. playing time - so that Ari Koivunen and other same sots of artists can play there too.. Personally I would've gladly switch Koivunen and few other not-so-in-my-mind bands to longer Korpiklaani set. Turisas played a good full gig in friday and I think 'Klaani would've earned the same kind of full gig as well. Or at least even a little more longer playing time than only 25 minutes. Nevertheless, FME was once again very fateful. Two days drinking beer, wine and shots from morning to evening and from evening to morning, heh.. ;D ;D I think I'm still in a little hangover, because my hands shake still. I can't tolerate hangovers so well than I could from example eight years ago.

On the video on Youtube, it seems as if they are playing in a home for the aged. I can't believe that such a thing is possible in Finland.

On the video on Youtube, it seems as if they are playing in a home for the aged. Well, that's basically where I belong, at least judging from how I started to feel lately so maybe I have been at the right place this weekend after all Actually my own impression concerning the audience at the FME was that it was amazingly good, at least judging from the people that happened to be around me. Here are my photos now: s14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/Sockennasenelch/FME%20Klaani/?action=view¤t=DSCN0131.jpg

Yep, the FME gig was excellent. I was rather glad to notice that certain songs were dropped out from the setlist, which was absolutely perfect. It was pity that the gig was so short, but if the gig had lasted longer I would've probably died there, it was so damn hot there in the front row. ;D But I am not complaining, the mood was great and the people really seemed to enjoy the gig and I am sure Korpiklaani gained many new fans at FME!
Unfortunately I don't have any pics from the gig, just some videoclips. Great that some people have taken decent pics!
