The new album is definitely a must have, looking forward towards tomorrow's traffic jam ;D
a pity that they brought out 2 different versions of the album... i really would like to hear the Japanese bonus track... don't like it when bands bring out 10 different versions...

The new album is masterpiece! I've bought it last week and can't stop listening to! I think the fans who consider that "Korven Kuningas" is not good enough, are must be mistaken. In my view all the Klaani albums are great and every work has its own sound, but the new one is really amazing and bewitching. What a pity that some people can't understand it.

I did a first passing listening. So far I've picked Keep on Gallow Ping (hehe - had to) and Kipumylly. Will have to listen it on the mp3 player for better focus.

I think the new album is better than Tervaskanto. But one thing is strange. Where are the beer songs??

But one thing is strange. Where are the beer songs?? If you collected all the previously released beer-related songs together, you would get an album out of them. Enough ;D?

For the medieval enthusiast among you (and those that are into In Extremo also), it's a fun exercise to sing "Como podet per sas culpas" over Kipumylly. The tempo is identical and the melody very similar. Fun fun!

I've only been able to give it a brief listen so far - definately heavier and a bit darker sounding than the other ones, not that 'klaani are ever going to sound like Dethklok, of course. "Shall We Take A Turn?" is brilliant, and my favourite song so far. ''Nuolet Nomalan" is also very good.

I found this at the mall next to my job where I went for lunch the other day! That was the last place I'd expect it. I like it. I'd sing along if I could. :-)
It's a good balance of happy sounding stuff, darker sounds, and drums. Each album has a different balance of sounds, but so far the balance sounds good to me on each one. There is still continuity yet I don't feel like it's the same song for the entire disc.

I think Korven Kuningas is more better than Tervaskanto. I remember when I heard Tervaskanto for the first time - I liked the songs very much, but only a few melodies remained in my mind... But after listening to Korven Kuningas - While doing something almost every song comes to my mind and I must sing it And I like the fact there are only a few english lines in the album. I really like finnish language - lyrics are more beautiful

I saw Metsämies video shoot's photos on Korpiklaani's site and immediately grew fond of it. Then I went to Finland to get Korven Kuningas, since they don't sell any KK's albums over here >.< Now I listen to it every day xD. Together with their older albums. I absolutely love it - it is great pleasure to roar along. What I like the most is that songs like Kipumylly, Keep On Galloping and Runamoine for example tell stories about myths, it broadens the mind AND makes life and nature more mysterious .

I think this is the best Korpiklaani album yet. I've always liked the spiritual and historical content in Korpiklaani's songs, and this album is chock-full of it. My favorite song is Kipumylly; I love that 4 over 3 rhythm, and the kind of "Shaman-On-The-Mountaintop-With-A-Drum" sort of sound it has...if that makes any sense. Jonne's voice sounds so epic...it almost makes me want to learn Finnish just so I can sing along!!
I must also say that I appreciate the english translations and little write-ups on all the songs that have been included with all the albums. I look forward to reading the cover jackets almost as much as listening to the albums!!
