Since the first Korven Kuningas albums reached their destination I would like to create a thread for the opinions of us, forum members, about this album.

I'm listening to it right now. I can't describe how great it is. I love it. It's much better than thier past albums. The songs are catchy and every song is absloutly great! I'll post a full review when I have the time.

I bought today (saturday) the album Korven Kuningas: Marvelous. I heard many fans saying that Tervaskanto is better than Korven Kuningas. I would tell here the contrary of this thesys On these days I will post a full review of the new album.

The "clever" members on a hungarian forum wrote about new album much bad.Somebody wrote that Korpi releases too quickly their albums and their standard of performance fall down fast...and don't deal enough with songs, just make cheap vurstli (fun-fair) music...but the people buy the album because it's trendy to like them... WHAT A STUPIDITY! I think he didn't listened the album well, just a quick test. And for God's Sake...Korpi shouldn't release always the same album! I only can say....I don't know is this new one better than previous or not,but I really-really love it,there are several songs with different moods and there are a lot of real live song!!!!For example:Northern Fall. And of course Tapporauta.(I hope you will play them on Paganfest, our dear Korpi...otherwise I will warm up your beers with my magical power... ;D ;D ;D)

Oh I'm seeing that I'm not alone with this new about mass listener of 'Klaani.
Estonian fanzine Metalstorm.ee gave to Korven Kuningas only 8.0
Italian fanzine Truemetal.it only 71

Love it!
One gripe.....welll amusement....Jonne's pronunciation of "Galloping"
"Gallow ping" should be "Gallopp ing"......Cracks me up ands to the charm of his voice and lyrics......
Another album to add to my best drinking songs library!

Another album to add to my best drinking songs library! That does not fit. If he would pronounce it as you say, it would never fit with the music. In songs you see often that words are pronounced or emphasized differently to fit.

Anyways.. having listened to half and half during different sessions.. it seems excellent. It definitely has a darker and bigger vibe to it. Im going to give it a listen from start to finish then see what its like rather than listening to each half at different times.

Awesome album! As was said in another thread, the lyrics are much more diverse, which keeps it interesting Some favourites; - Tapporauta: would make one hell of a party song for the gigs! - Northern Fall: because of the melody and the yoiking the song sounds very happy. And I love Jonne's yoiking - Korven Kuningas: has kind of an "ancient" feeling to it, especially the beginning - Gods on Fire: surprised me a bit because at first it didn't seem very "Korpiklaani", but I actually like it a lot! The lyrics are well-written and when you listen to the album this song kind of forms a quiet moment on it, which is a good thing ^^

Only Korpiklaani would put 19 and a half minutes of drums at the end of an album! I really like "Shall We Take a Turn?", probably because I'm a total sucker for bouncy triplet stuff like that. Amazing work, guys! \m/

Like hearing Rammstein sing a Depeche Mode classic "Stripped" I laughed the whole way through the song! Jonne could mis-pronounce every word and I wouldn't care! Just keep the albums coming! And get to Australia - If you dare!

Finnish is a language I would love to learn but think I would struggle as there aren't many Finns in OZ to practice with....
Some of the words get bloody long!
Listening to music in foreign languages is very enjoyable, not understanding the lyrics adds to the mystique of the music and artists and you can listen to the "Vibes" more than the words! Jonne is very good at using emotion in his tones and the rest of the band compliment the vibes with their muisical prowess!
Love the album!
