It is sinua (partitive form) and written in small "s" while inside a sentence. "sinusta" (elative form) = from you, your side or your direction Then again, " Pidän sinusta." = "I like you.", thus it can of course be quite confusing at times for a non-Finnish speaker to manage with these kind of expressions at first.

If I could go anywhere I'd go to Iran and visit this: www.babyloniangal.com/files/tours/Pasargadae_Cyrus_Tomb2.jpgCyrus' tomb in Pasargadae Up until now, I've only visited Paris and Italy (and a cave in Slovenia on the road back from Italy). -Tags off. If the picture is too big, you can just give us a link without tags. -V.H

I've decided to go to Geiranger, Norway this July with my husband. Maybe we can stop in Helsinki for a few days on the way back, though I still don't have clear plans.

Lionheart:What did you visit in Norway? To tell the tuth this will be our second time there. Two years ago we spent one and a half rainy day in Geiranger, ths is the reason to go back. Jotunheimen and Hardangervidda are probably the next two destinations for the future. Other people usually go to Italy or greece for the summer, so we decided to go to north.

In Norway I've been nearly everywhere, except south of Oslo. From the northern kirkenes ( and even farther up north Vardö and Vadsö ( they're supposed to be with a \ but i'm too lazy to lookup how to get that ) To the middle of Narvik and the Lofoten ( did a whale safari there... with bf 7 or 8 wind... nice... to be on the open sea with such a storm ) to Trondheim, Jotunheimen, the Hardangervidda and down to Oslo.... Been there about 8 or 9 times. So I've been around in Norway

Lionheart, you are fortunate. I envy you a bit for those trips to Norway.

I'd have to say...Norway, Sweden and Ireland, for the amazing scenery! I've only seen those countries in pictures, but Scandavia has got to be one of the most hauntingly beautiful places on Earth...as for Ireland...well, what can I say? It's gorgeous. I find nature and being away from civilization very cathartic, very relaxing. It's nice to escape from some of reality...
And I'd like to see what the cities are like, as well...but also the small towns and villages.
And I couldn't respond to a topic like this without listing every US metal fan's mecca: Waacken! Maybe one of these years...

@viking: Antarctica - YEAH, that would be a stunning experience. Thanks for posting those gorgeous pix!! @all: Wacken, well not this year for me, but that is a definite goal. I hope Korpiklaani will still be playing there when I make it someday! Mal, re New York: don't bother, it ain't all it's cracked up to be... heh

Can anyone recommend tours in Scandanavian countries? I would like to do a tour of *just* Finland or *just* Norway, but the only tours I have found so far cram all the Scandanavian countries into one tour.
I'll be travelling in May. I have already picked which Ireland tour I am doing, so I just need to decide if I do my Scandanavian trip before or after it. There's still a chance I can see Korpi in Imatra if I plan things well.
And recommendations on what I should see in Finland or Norway are welcome!

Crazy Mary: Depends how much time you have For me I've never been a lot to Sweden so i can't tell you much about that. Finland: enough experts on the boards here But I've always like the north part. For norway... if you have a car and have the time: take the E6 road, starting either in Oslo or in Kirkenes. ( E6 is a roadnumber. E-roads are roads which go through multiple in Europe, the E6 starts ( i believe) in Malmö or Göteborg in Sweden) Oslo being in the south and Kirkenes being in the utter north. The E6 leads you all the way from South to North-east passing alongside Jotunheimen, the Dovrefjell, Trondheim, across the polar circle to Narvik passing the Lofoten islands ( very nice whale safari there) up tp the complete north past Tromso ( with the most northern university in Europe ( i think in the world actually)), getting quite close to the North Cape ( most northern spot of the European Contrinent) then to the east into the mountains, over the tundra's Eventually arriving at the arctic sea a stone throw away from the russian border The complete road is about... I believe 2000-2500 km's. So if you really want to enjoy it it takes about 1.5 to 2 weeks. But it's worth it shows you a lot of beautiful scenery and shows a lot about Norway. Up in the north you pass several villages with local museusm about local culture and history ( if yer interested in that). A really nice trip ^^ But then again... that's not an organized trip as far as i know... but one which is absolutely worth it EDIT: some slight modifications.

Lionheart: Thanks very much for your reply! ;D The Norway E6 sounds wonderful but unfortunately I am travelling on my own, so I think I need an organised tour group to keep me company I did some more searching yesterday and finally found one tour that just does Finland here but it doesn't start until June, and I will be there in May. I also want to catch the Korpi gig in Imatra, so it's proving quite difficult to plan! Any more suggestions are more than welcome.

Why don't you fly to Helsinki, catch up with the same friend as you did in Ireland, rent a car and start traveling around for a week. Tell him in advance all the places you want to see, and I'm sure he can work out a nice route, and would love to drive you around

I'll keep the necessary people in the loop.
