Just noticed the youtube link to the live "vodka" video (thanks humppaporo)
I'm already feelin' the warmth and the alcohol breath of this song, gettin' a bit tipsy just watching this, I better watch out ;D of course, the camera movement helps too!

LOL! Before every folk gig I and my friends go drinking to another my friend's (his nickname is Robin) - and the furniture is just as his! But there are a few differences: he has much more empty bottles on the floor, and there's a PC, on which we usually play The Neverhood...

Some cool artwork again, the cover of the Vodka single: Vodka... yeah vodka!! Spot on! This made my day ;D Just what I'd imagine to happen if Vaari had too much of the harder stuff in one gulp. It'd have been interesting to see this picture made in the same graphic style as the album covers and "keep on galloping" single, but on the other hand its hand-drawn charm adds to the spontaneous and merry feel of it Bravo to the artist once again!

The house on the cover of Tervaskanto is maybe the house where Vaari is enjoying a nice horn of beer and roasting some reindeer meet ('We rejoice and we laugh when the deer falls') on the Karkelo cover? Maybe the house I circled in red is Vaari's 'woodshed for his own brewed beer? 'Little forest, lake as far as you can see. Woodshed, for my home brewed beer.' You can also see the lake if you look good . Though I'm not sure 'cause there are more then one houses visible .

Though I'm not sure 'cause there are more then one houses visible . One house can be his drinking shed, and another house can be his main house... Or maybe it's a drinking village and each little house is occupied by its own drinking shaman/troll/person having their own private karkelo?

It would have been interesting to see that single cover in the standard style, but I do agree that the cartoon style is very humorous

The cartoon style comes after you went hunting, had beer beer, spent time with trees and did something pleasant under the sun. ;D Vaari told me that last midsommer, when we were happy......big....booooo.......

Is that cover really painted by Mauri Kunnas or is it just a good imitation? Can't see his trademark eyes lurking in the shadows but the Vaari's face and the water color work really look like his doings... (Mauri Kunnas is a popular finnish children's book writer and illustrator, by the way )
