As I've studied so hard here in Budapest, I've missed lot of things - and one of the things are that Finnish label Poptori has been re-released the Shamaani duo album Hunka lunka already in september 2008!! And as we all know, Shamaani duo was the acoustic ethnic duo project that was before both Korpiklaani and Shaman. In Shamaani duo Jonne Järvelä played yoik-based new Sámi music with Maaren Aikio. On that record there's two covers that has to be mentioned: Gula gula from Mari Boine and Uriah Heep's Lady In Black, which is arranged into a yoik-song!
For me that album is maybe one of the best albums ever, since it has influenced almost in every music I've ever written; thus it's one of the most obvious reasons also why Poropetra exists in the first place. It contains beautiful and very motional music which brings you deep feelings from somewhere behind the Northern Lights. You can order the CD for 5 €uros from Poptori's netstore, from here: mielenravintoa.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=391
This is very good done from Poptori, because this album has been very, very rare for over ten years. I've been one of the only lucky ones, who have bought this CD already at the end of the 90's. But since you all have the chance now, I recommend you to use it. At the same time I also recommend to order all the CD:s of Sarcofagus and Kimmo Kuusiniemi Band's album Moottorilinnut; they are available from the same netstore - and they all cost only 5 €uros. Remarkable masterpieces every one of them!
Because the whole shit is in Finnish, I can tell you all the non-Finns how to order the CD.
