Hello from South Dakota USA. My 27yr old daughter introduced me to Korpiklaani music because I am half Finnish and thought I would enjoy it. My grandparents immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900's from Nurmes, Finland. Korpiklaani music sounds so familiar to me as I grew up around Finnish music and some of the language. I love the sound of huumpa and metal guitars! You guys are one of the best bands I've heard in years! Music here in the USA has been sucking for a very long time and Korpiklaani is a breath of fresh air! This being said, I purchased Manala, Karkelo, and Ukon Wacka. I intend on purchasing some more cd's and T shirts....

Hello! My name is Olatz and I'm from the Basque Country (north of Spain). I love folk in general, since I was a child because where I live most people like folk and celtic stuff haha, at town/city festivities it's usual to listen a lot of basque folk music (and dances). I play a couple of folk music instruments. Then I really like folk metal and of course Korkiklaani!! I also like to draw (a lot! check my webpage if you want haha), forests and mountain, reading and learning almost anything! Hope I'll have many good times here And sorry my poor english hahaha

Hola, Olatz! And a very warmth welcome! You come from a place which fascinates me and is on my list of amazing cultures...not to mention it's where one of my fave European directors is from too ;D ..am sure you figured I talk about Julio Medem. Ah, plus, the land of Ilbeltz and Aiumeen Basoa as well. Hell, and I am amazed by the language itself, I got a grammar and other two materials of study, but never gotten into them...Anyway, really glad someone from there is on the board!!! Will check your page too, but had to come post this for now.... Enjoy staying here and looking forward to what you have to say around. As for the English, just like it was said with other people.....no worries, we get along here without pretensions.
