You mean Accordion. Well I can´t really help, just played it twice and not very well But maybe Juho will read your post, he is the accordion genius.

Not sure if this is the best area for the thread, but none-the-less. You can mic them with Accordion mics or even a standard condensor mic. For live performances this may be harder to do, and I'm not sure how well a cardiod mic would work, although I'd assume considerably better in a live setting since it should pick up only what sound is coming right in front of it rather than all around. Most accordionists are sadly at a disadvantage for live performances if there are a considerable amount more instruments performing with them with mics and amps hooked up. Accordions are naturally quite loud, and work well in duet or trio performances with acoustic instruments, but if you're looking at loud electric guitars and miced drums, it may just have to play undertone melodies until you can get an appropriate mic. Good luck

I remember Jonne saying something about placing the mics inside the accordion on another forum, but the result was only "ok" as far as I can remember. Nowadays Juho uses digital accordion so he doesn't have to fiddle around with the microphones anymore.

Biggest problem with digital accordions: expensive. If you can afford one though and like the sound eddbeard, go for it.

the basic set up is 2 mics on melodic side (upper&lower) and one on harmonic side. The easyes way to do that is to buy goose neck mics like this: www.thomann.de/de/akg_c_516_ml.htmThere is also preamps for those and them working also as a mixer (mixing all the lines as one) The harm whit set like that as a live performances is the feedback and in Korpiklaani case the mics are picking up everything else but the accordion. but good luck to picking up..
