I'm sure gossip does have some "positive" cultural component to it, but to me I'm 100% with you: it's garbage and useless. Sometimes I may vent about someone that is bothering me, but I don't care to resort to gossip. It can be good to let things off ones chest, but it's very rare that a person bothers me that much that I can't just deal with it myself. What you said about "those who gossip to you are going to gossip about you" is so very true. In my family gossip is the law of the land it seems: everyone likes to gossip about anyone that is not there: if so-and-so is not present than they are the subject of ridicule. It's why I always prefer this family during family gatherings where everyone is present: sure it may be more hectic and hard to breath because of all the people crammed into one room, but at least there is no gossip. Although even then gossip begins when certain people leave the room for more than 10 seconds.... Your group conversations comment is also quite true: extroverts always seem to dominate the entire conversation and never let anyone get a word in. There is nothing I hate more than during a conversation when you have an insight into a topic but before you can bring it up the topic has changed, and in some conversations it can change 5 times and thus even trying to revert back to it seems futile. Sadly this happens for me even in one-on-one conversations, although much less frequently. Discoursed requites two sides providing equally to the conversation, not one person hijacking it and only allowing 30 seconds for the other person to talk before they jump right back in again... stan: I'd have to agree. I enjoy Nightwish, and although I prefer their music more now I get sooo damn tired of people STILL talking about that crap. Why can't people just enjoy or not enjoy music without having to always pick sides and jump down each others throats? It amazes me sometimes that in a world that increasingly appreciates the idea of freedom of speech that all that speech is wasted on continually arguing with others. And I also dislike healthy living conversations. They can be good under certain circumstances (again almost any conversation can be), but for a good deal of the time it seems to be fruitless.

I confess I never listened to Nightwish, and cannot judge nor have anything against them, but this made me laugh happy to make an heretic laughin'

Oh yeah - Manowar true power and steel kings of the universe topic... But it's funny(if there are not so serious true fans around). I was in the Manowar DVD live 2008 I was in Kavarna, around my tent and from nowhere came a man with a camera and another with mic. I switch on "the power mode" and started to prate all that came to my head at that moment... And few months after that I was in DVD with my few seconds of true Manowar speech

Metal vs Emo Here on the Balkans we have another "enemy" - pop-folk, called turbo-folk, chalga, manele, whatever and emos are almost allies, because they are included in all against pop-folk. ;D ;D ;D

Metallica vs Manowar ;D ;D ;D[/quote] now you are talkin' Wolferin! 1. - "they are mercantile / they sell" - i realy hate this topic big time! where is the problem damn it? 2. - BUT: this one I find interesting, especially "what would be metallica like if Cliff wasn't dead?". Recently i've read a book about him and the thesis was totally opposed to the popular way: Cliff would be happy with albums even like "load / reload" and notably 'the black album", cause at 1985/86 he has pointed many times that M are thinking of going that way: much slower music than KTA, RTL, MOP... 3. - is there such an debate? I thought Manowar are "ONE AND ONLY"?..... ;D

I even don't know who this guy is
and I just don't care bout what Metallica is now, their first three albums rocked, but if to choose Metallica/Manowar... I don't know, so I'll choose Slayer.
Most boring topics for me are any that I'm not into. Actually the only shits I'm into are music and booze, so it seems that nearly anything else is boring for me.

I dunno who that Justin is either, I keep seeing that name on youtube comments, but..it 's not even a Justin BeerBeer, so I am not interested. ;D Hehe, Metallica..''Cliff'em all'' (btw, who saw that documentary?)... Wish I say I'd choose Slayer, but thinking of those times I'd choose Sepultura anytime. To be honest, as bigger Metallica fan I was in older times, think my enthusiasm was bigger on Sepultura's gig (their only one I ever attended ) than on 2 Metallica's. One of my best friends is The Diehard Metallica Fan ,so I don't get bored in the talks we have on the topic probably because there's much fun in them. And we liked Cliff! ;D Is it my impression , or I just bored in the most boring topics of discussion thread? If it is so, good! ;D

If it is so, good! ;D 1. me. have it on VHS. intended to buy it on DVD (it was released this year or last). but realised that it was 'born to be VHS'. all the clips are amateur, so on VHS it is 'double trouble'. But that was the idea when it was first released, so: no 'DVD'm ALL' for me 2. My dear, you drill in every thread, not only in the boring ;D ;D
