I was about to post something, but Sethlad already said all that I had to say.
Hunting for survival is acceptable and natural Hunting and killing for pure sport of it is not.
And no, I'm not a hippie either.

its one of my favorite hobbies , whem i go to the nourth of portugal , kill some wild pigs , rabbits , ( i eat what i hunt ) , does any one like? If you eat them, I have anything against that! But I don't see the interest to kill an animal to put it at the dustbin

If my memory is correct, almost everyone said that they could eat meat from hunting if they had to, to survive or so. But that they do not enjoy shooting animals.
I think nobody likes meat from 'meatfactories'.
And okay, I believe you that your joy has nothing to do with animals in pain. I can imagine that it is nice to proof your cunning, but your way is not mine.
BTW: why don't you registrate... easier, since you so often appear.

If my memory is correct, almost everyone said that they could eat meat from hunting if they had to, to survive or so. But that they do not enjoy shooting animals. Exactly... I enjoy meat VERY MUCH and I have the perfect notion that animals have to be killed in order for me to eat and that sincerely does not bother me at all. It's the way things are. I just said that I, personally, am not able to shoot dead another living being for the pleasure or the adrenaline of it. If I want to feel the adrenaline of calmly walking through the woods and catching some animal without it detecteting my presence I do exactly that and even shoot it... WITH A CAMERA! I greatly enjoy the outdoors but I don't feel the need to go around killing part of it... If that makes me a hippy... fuck it. BTW: why don't you registrate... easier, since you so often appear. I already suggested that to him... but he doesn't seem too willing. Dunno why.

Sethlad, I do exactly the same, shoot hem with my camera and I'm very carefull not to disturb them. It really give's me a kick to take a great picture of a simple crow (ever watched them flying? They are real acrobats in the air?) and even more of a rare animal, like a roe or a swine.
Let's respect nature and each others opinion!

I do exactly the same, shoot hem with my camera What do you others say > should we open a thread to share our nature-/animal-photos with each other? (I have made several ones as well... especially from free-living birds.) But if anyone opens it: please in the OTHER channel ("chit chat"!!! Not here, as already this hunting topic here is in the wrong place actually.) By the way... just as we write about hunting here, our intelligent bannners show ads like "Trophy elk hunts" and "Kansas pheasant hunting"! ;D

Great idea Twi. Nature/animal and landscape also, maybe even anything besides bandpictures (should be in Korpiklaani) and personal/family pics. But I agree, in chit-chat. Maybe this hunting-thing can be moved... Those banners are really amazing, I'm curious who programmed that...;D ;D (banner disappeared right now, maybe I will suddenly hear a voice telling me me something about the divine creator of banners...)

To use a quote from someone I know: 'Guns are made for man with small penis.' ;D Hunting is a interesting and important think. To much pigs and bambis would damage the forests. ( mankind did even destroy forests.... maybe we should hunt.... ups. Stupid idea...) I have a better feeling eating wild meat instead of 'artifical domestic meat'. But it's important to keep the dignity of the animal. If I see something like this, my hate is rising!

I love hunting. I've been hunting for 10 months now with my friend and we go down to some awsome places and finish the hunt off with some beer at the pub we go to. I enjoy the fact of that there culd be a rabbit around the next corner and then you have to be very silent. The thing I enjoy the most is when you take you're kill home and skin and gut it, then prepare it to what ever you feel like. My mentor shot a pigeon and cooked it the other night and showed me the different types of methods of cooking the game animals and it is just the fact that you have killed and cooked you're own food gives you that sense of self appreciation
