Socke Hope you get well soon and some things may have turned out different as planned it's always replaced with experiences you otherwise wouldn't have had and there will be always another trip you can plan Good: Bang Your head festival package has been ordered. Change of scenery will be good although it'll be a short holiday trip Also weather has been acting strange over here; Winter has decided not to pay us a visit, spring on the other hand did and temperatures went up to a sunny 14 degrees today In comparison around this time last year it was -18

I haven't been here for quite a long time, just now realized it was really long time, my apologize... So many things happened, good things, sad things, health issues, lots of stress and trouble, loss of a beloved one... But I just can tell it all turned into something very good, I found my true love, my soulmate... And finally I'm at home, after half a lifetime in almost desperate search of such a place and only failed. I'm in Finland now in a place I was always dreaming of, with trees and away from all the city noise. Can't tell how good that feels Of course my furry friends are with me, they like it a lot and share this feeling of being home with me. Unfortunately it's only three of them... Gwynni didn't make it to here, she passed away two weeks before moving. I still miss her a lot, but in some way she'll be with me forever... So far about my news in veeery short version... Bad: job search and finding language courses is still very difficult, I'm here for a month now and no results up to now, no replies to any of my e-mails... I knew it would not be easy, but nevertheless a little frustrating. But there is also a plan B in my mind which I'm going to think about a little closer soon Good: my Finnish is getting better even without professionell lessons, my self studies start working yesterday we were watching a movie in Finnish and I noticed I understood quite a lot Very good: This wonderful silence here and the view from every window in the house, it's just trees and forest everywhere, I'm so happy about that all the time Sure I can see the road and the neighbour's houses, but that doesn't bother at all. There are enough trees everywhere

@ Socke: So funny you used my real name. Ja, I drink to that! And to your health and balance everywhere. @ Metsä kissa: many hugs to you and will say it again that I'm happy on how it all turned out there, despite the whirlof life and all madness as I call it. Glad to see you around posting also. Good: Enrolled today into a language testing and am happy I could get a place into the next round, although on site appeared there were no places left. Also good, done a tour here, got used to the new forum thing. Bad: spondylosis keeps bugging me, but there's nothing much I can do but endure it. It could always be worse.

Metsäkissa: I'm really glad to hear about your life change A lot must have happened... very sorry to hear about Gwynni, but it's great that the other cats are happier now, as well as yourself. Cities are absolute hell, noticed it again here... I hope you will manage to settle down soon, I know it's not always that easy to be a foreigner somewhere, especially in the beginning. Where in Finland do you live? Valentina: Sorry, I always refer to you as Valentina when talking about you with other people, so Maris: True... though on the paper I had to write for the immigration office it said "I would like to leave Hungary on (date), and I would not like to come back" Good: Ate pancakes at our favourite place for the last time. Good as usual. Good: Finally we also went to the tea place close to where we were staying. It's a shame we went only once as it's a really cosy place with an excellent choice of different teas. Surprisingly we also met one of the other exchange students there, even though we thought there was no-one here at the moment. Good: Drinking the last honey beer. I wish they would sell the same kind in Finland.

@tiina: Thank you sooo much, a million hugs in return I will be around here more often again up from now, promised Socke: Thanks to you, too. You're right, the beginning of a completely new life is sometimes not easy, and for me it's a completely new life. But being here is exactly what I wanted and I have a Finn at my side who supports me as good as he can, that makes lots of things a little easier and gives strength. I'm in Kotka, about 20km away from the city centre. Oohhh you like honey beer, too? So do I! Have you ever tried the "Harald"? I like this one a lot, and it's availiable here

No, haven't seen that one... where do they sell it? I doubt it could be as good as the one there, but can always give it a try A shame we're living that far from each other, but who knows, maybe we bump into each other sometime. Good: Not quite home yet, but at least in Finland again. My first visit in a supermarket felt a bit wobbly, it's strange how you can loose the feeling for a currency in 4 1/2 months. However, it's not advisable to convert prices into forints, it's a shocking experience Bad: Feeling somewhat weak. A day of travelling and my stomach is messed up, as always Good: Got to sauna already, which felt really nice. I just hated how you never could get properly clean in our dirty old bathroom in Hungary.

Much love around, I like it! I'll take your word for that Cat. Socke: hope you arrange your head settings for currencies soon, I know how silly it can turn. Had my own share of experiences with it, spent more than I planned a few times in OZ, only because prices seemed ''lower''...just smaller numbers that was all. Bad: I am still a bit confused on how to post here with the change of forum. But this time gotten around. Good here: productivity. Even better: nice homemade wine, though will not go over a glass...and music (soon to post in the right thread).

Tiina: productivity, wine and music sounds veeery good! Quickly gotta have a look into other thread Socke: It's often same with me when travelling, I always feel pretty exhausted after, even though it's not that long... Hope you're safely arrived at home and had a chance to recover a little? I had a look into road plan, it says it's about 600 km to drive from my home to Oulu, so why not making that trip one day? I'd really like to meet you The Harald beer is available in our local supermarket (K-market), pretty expensive with €5 for one bottle, but from time to time we buy it, it's really tasty Good: it's finally some winter here with -11 degrees and some snow Today we had bright sunshine, too, so I went on a looong walk through fields and forests. And tonight we're gonna heat the sauna, can't wait that Very good: finally got reply from a language program and been invited to their meetings, there is a women's group twice a week Veeeeery very good: latest KK news about their gig in Helsinki in February Bad: roads are slippery and two tyres of my car are pretty worn out, and currently don't have the money to buy new ones....

Since then it's been pretty busy and there's still a lot to do before it can get back to "normal" life, but it's good to be in a calmer environment again, away from all the ambulance sirens and city noise we had for many months. And of course you're welcome to visit us one day Perhaps I'll have to try the beer then, on some special occasion... if there was one thing I didn't miss about Finland while we were away it was probably the prices Tiina: Indeed this forum needs time to get used to, especially the smilies. And I never knew you could "like" a post now...

I support you two meet! Oh, Socke, everything has a price. Yes..did you notice the kissing smiley look a bit kinky? Or so I think. That too, and when I logged in I had 2 notifications, Kissa liked my two recent posts, haha. Socke, I'll be writing to you after the mad weekend. Here things are intense, can't wait this week goes away. At the weekend I've this exam I dunno why I fear of (guess the timing and amount of tasks is a downside) and also the Viking will travel again a long way - nervous as ever with his flights and health. Many good things though happening, as for example having a picture of mine painted by a good friend, a Klanner as well. List could continue.

Welcome back korpikrissy, liked your interview about the album very much Good: A friend of mine is ordering the festival tickets for BYH this week, will be the first "real" metal festival I'll attend since 2011 Still planning to go to Metalcamp@Tolmin with friends, it's probably not going to happen this year but most likely next year. Bad: We're still waiting for winter Looking more and more like it will skip us over; With current and predicted temperatures of 8-11 degrees it's like springtime. A news article even wrote that in animalpark Amersfoort a couple of Egyptian tortoises laid their eggs 1 month earlier then expected because of these warm winter temperatures So let's celebrate spring already

Good: I'm back to Finland after a week in Germany. Even though It was good to see my friends and family, I'm glad to be back at home. It's really funny how I'm feeling like a stranger in this country where I've spent almost all my life until now Of course I still need some time to become more familiar with Finnish life and language, but it feels all so right like I never felt before in my life Also good: few new tattoos, will post pictures soon Bad: still one week to go before I can go to sauna again with new tattoos

I hope the best is yet to come.. it must be this way! Someone takes me away from here! Well, I'll try to fix all and to get better to not think.... Korpiklaani seldom help me a lot so.. LET'S VODKA AGAIN!! \M/

Bad: still no progress in job search, only denials on all my applications or even no reply at all. That's little frustrating... I just hope it will get better in spring... I'm also a little worried about my old lady Jodie, she has some issues with her back and hips... Good: soooo looking forward to seeing Korpiklaani tomorrow in Helsinki!
