Yes nice and interesting topic.
Found : It was very long time, I have found a wedding ring on the sea. It was in mediterranean sea, in France. I swam and saw the little fish near the beach. Then I saw a circle shine on the sand. I took it and it was a wedding ring. I gave to my parent. Now I don't know what they did with it.
Lost : I have lost my camera in the concert of Therion in Paris last year. It was a present from my ex boyfriend therefore the probleme is not the thing, the camera, but it had a sentimental value.

Yeah I already have my place. I am agreeably suprise to see that Finnish Fire Tour will be in Strasbourg. I just see Korpiklaani in concert, I already listen Battlelore and Falchion and I like, but never Kivimetsän Druidi. It's good opportunity to see and discover these band in concert.
As I think, Juho and Matson will play two time (Korpi and Falchion). May the force be with you guys !
Finaly, if you want to go drink beer, befor or after the concert, I know a excellent metal bar (and the only one) !

I will do the same thing but for learning english. I will come to finland to deepen my english and of course study biology. The relation between english and finland... it's simple, in all laboratories of the world there are an universal language : English. I have a bad / poor english and it's the best way to associate study (neuroscience for me) and language. As far as I've understood, most of the bigger companies etc. here in Finland have the majority of employees - especially the highly educated-ones - consisting of Finns, thus native Finnish speakers, even though it would be a more or less international company in question. In this kind of cases English may very well be the lingua franca in for example documents, certificates, computer programs and as a source for specific terminology and such, but however, English is generally not used in speech between Finns themselves if and more likely because everyone can their mother tongue. The situation for this may vary a bit if there are working people from abroad, but even then the Finns use English with non-Finnish speakers only because of them, not otherwise; this wouldn't take you to hear and use English so much that it'd be of use in learning it remarkably more. I'd say that if you want to learn and advance in English language for real, you should search for job and/or further studies in eg. UK or USA where people are more likely and especially more widely native English speakers from whom English of course comes a lot more naturally and more fluently compared to that terrible "Formula 1 -English" of us Finns. I am conscious that to learn quickly and good english it's better to do a job in UK or USA. But in the lab where I will be, there already are an african, a chinese, two potugueses and two finns thus the language is english. I know that during my internship in the lab I will only speak and hear english and evidently learn english, not the spoken english of UK, but it is also english. Out of the lab it's another way, but it is good to try to "speak" finnish, I'm learning finnish by myself. Actually, I dind't choose finland to learn english it is secondary, the both principal reasons are because there is a lab who study that I want and for Finland. "terrible "Formula 1 -English" of us Finns" --> hahaha come to France and listen our english, if you find someone who speak english. We have a bad reputation about foreign language and unfortunately it is true.

Well, the most important word in polish is "kurwa" wich basicly is a curse word, but it can mean a lot of things For those who want to speak in polish the basic words should be: Thank you - Dziękuję Good Morning - Dzień dobry Cheers - Na zdrowie Please - Proszę Excuse me/I'm sorry - Przepraszam I think it's not easy to pronounce polish words ... ok there are some letter that I never see before ! I absolutly don't know how pronunciate these words... but I try !

I see the only true way to learn to understand and speak some languages, is namely living among the people, who do speak that language. That's what I'm trying to do now myself. I understand Hungarian quite well - but not good enough - and I can't speak it very well (except ordering beer, food, beer, pálinka, wine, beer & beer ). I'm now living in Budapest, so now I have the chance to learn Hungarian well - within the native speakers. I've already went through some discussion, in which I've used very much of my Hungarian vocabulary. This is the start. I've already lived in Estonia, where I learned Estonian - this is the natural next step. Maybe a sometime within the Sámi people or summer university in Udmurtia, is the next step after this exchange year; who knows?! I will do the same thing but for learning english. I will come to finland to deepen my english and of course study biology. The relation between english and finland... it's simple, in all laboratories of the world there are an universal language : English. I have a bad / poor english and it's the best way to associate study (neuroscience for me) and language. Of course I will try to "speak" in finnish into the store, bar... I know the two essential finnish words : olut and perkele, maybe there are more...

Actually I meant, which are the versions of the most popular names (mainly in the Christian world) like John and Peter in different languages. But I don't mind to write also which are the most popular names in your country, like Helran did. PS: Thank you to the mod, that moved the thread in General intellectual discussion. I was hesitating where to make the thread and at the end decided in Everything you want to share. Ok I see, I have added the french name version. John - Jean, Yann; female equivalent - Jeanne, Johanna George - Georges; female equivalent - Georgette Peter - Pierre; female equivalent - Périne Thomas - Thomas Jordan - Jordan, Jordane; female equivalent - Jordana Michael - Michel; female equivalent - Michelle Martin - Martin; female equivalent - Martine Jan - Jean; female equivalent - Jane, Jannine Alexander - Alexandre; female equivalent - Alexandra, Alexandrine Anthony - Antoine; female equivalent - Antoinette Nick - Nicolas; female equivalent; Nicole From Jesus Christ - Christian; female equivalent - Christianne Other female: Maria - Marie Anna - Anne Helen - Hélène P.s. : I have also read quickly the instruction. It's not specificly in this forum, it's also french forum. I always reply quickly without read correctly/entirely the title.
