His gallery is here in New York where I live - I go there fairly regularly, he holds frequent events there including full moon and new moon gatherings, art workshops, metaphysical lectures, performances, buddhist rituals, you name it. He's also a really nice, approachable guy - no apparent ego! If any of you are near NY or ever come here, be sure to check out the gallery, it's one of the most awesome places you'll ever see. ohhh, you lucky bastard!!!

I've recently seen many of the original paintings by Alphonse Mucha at Aamos Anderssonin taidemuseo and it really did impress me! I've been there too and it impressed me too. That gave a really good picture of Muchas works and Art Nouveau in general. I'm very interested in Art Nouveau in its many different forms. I like expecially its form szecesszió in Hungary. Unfortunately I didn't find any good English link to that. I can't tell just one favorite artist 'cause it's usually single works that I find intresting. One of my favorite painters is Toulouse Lautrec. His usually know from his poster works but he's made other works too (not that I wouldn't love his posters too...). More about this great painter you can find here: www.ibiblio.org/wm/paint/auth/toulouse-lautrec/

I actually just bought a mini art book where's lot's of his works and their backrounds. It's a good book but the great pictures should be larger... Well, it's a mini art book... I don't have the book here at hand at the moment so I can't give you the exact name but maeby I edit this post later (I don't have that good memoring... ;D).

I love all art work but I love work with bright colours; artists like Andy Warhol. I also like work by Giorgio de chirico, Picasso and artists who do the same sort of work.

- That´s great! It´s always nice to hear positive thoughts after an experience in art. - I´ve seen few of his posters in the ateneum art museum few years ago and i found them very inspiring. But thank you for posting the link! The 2nd painting really caught my eye, very beautiful! I really love this simple and pure painting by Alla Borisovna Pugachova (Yes! The same singer)

I'm not very into painters, but I like one photosgrapher very much... This photographer, Karol Plicka, was a working in Czech and Slovakia. There he photographed the people how they are, so no special posing. That makes the photos very pure. He made pictures of everything: buildings, nature, people. One of the photo's I like best I just found on the internet: D:\Documents and Settings\Jarmo\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\ITMQB9TI\Plicka[1].jpg[/img] We were on holiday, and a museum about this artist was not far from our place for the night. So we went there and we all were amazed by the photographs. Later on, we bought some photobooks. I also like to draw some stuff from the photobooks.

As I see most of the forum members like fantasy and gothic paintings. My favourite paintings are different: they are magnificient, huge, shining landscapes about the wildness of thee still virgin American scenery. The painters are calle the Hudson River School Painters and my faves among them are Thomas Cole (the founder of that school) and Albert Bierstadt. Here're two links about them and you can see some of the paintings there, too: www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hudson_River_Schoolartchive.com/artchive/hudsonriver.html

I'm not so much interested in painters, but I like Munch, Klimt and Van Gogh. I like Velázquez and El Bosco too, when I was in El Prado's museum, here in Madrid, I saw "Las Meninas" and I get highly impressed.
