Had the idea after reading the long spam poem, therefore this song is based on that poem. I don't know if it has serious song potential since I don't have the musical expertise to be the judge of that. Arivse and Socke agreed to help on translating it into Finnish since I think it'll sound better in that language. It will take time to make it sound klaanish when working on translations. So I hope all you klaaners out there, will be patient if you want to read this song in Finnish In the meantime I would like to hear what you guys think of these lyrics Nature's MusicInto the night a feast begins Cover of moonlight the trees stand witness until the moon welcomes the sun. Amongst the followers booze gushes out of their pints. There is silence as the forest roars now all stop to gaze upon the wolves howling. The shaman gives us the sign, we start singing it lasts for hours. After the shaman's yoik dreamtime is closing in, the wind blows and whispers to them who are still awake. There is silence as the forest roars now all stop to gaze upon the wolves howling. Karkelo is still going, visible to those who are in the southern lands Up north the seasons are changing more parties have been planned. Hearing of Ukon Wacka, us klaaners can hardly wait. Our hunger for music will never rest for clan of the forrest makes it best

As I wrote to you in PM, I got inspired from the idea of klaanish lyrics and from your poem and wrote this:
Beltane night
In the old pagan times fairy creatures were alive After centuries sleep some of them come revive Only ones in the year They leave their secret sphere
On the Beltane night They begin the magic rites If you afraid their spell Better hide yourself well
Telling stories of heroes from long time dead Magic creatures encourage the brave go ahead If you can feel their might No one can defeat you in fight On the Beltane night They begin the magic rites If you afraid their spell Better hide yourself well
But remember – beware their magical charm To the bad-hearted people it can do so much harm They’ll lost their way And the darkness obey
On the Beltane night They begin the magic rites If you afraid their spell Better hide yourself well
I don't know if this is for translating in Finnish, thought it may sound great. I just put it here for the Klaanish songs idea. ;D

One more from me. ;D
Underground river
There’s a river deep in the ground Only in nights is heard its sound It is enchanted by magic force Born from the fire black horse
Everything falling in oriflame fire Philosophy stone and elements hire Turning the gold and soil into ash Burning all green and fresh
Glittering eyes float in the night It is a passion you cannot fight It is a call you just can obey Witches satyrs to mate
Dancing with winds and bear skin to wear Whole whirlpool is all night there Unleashed child is born with the down With the sunrise everything gone
If you go there under the sky You may here a werewolf cry You may lost all life your mind And to forget human kind

Some more Klaanish stuff that arose from my thoughts
Time to remember by
As I lay here time passes by. Gazing to the stars above. Clouds forming when my mind wonders off, to the forest of my youth. Full of life;
Seeing animals finding food in riverbanks, birds making their nest and leaves who dance in the wind. Walking deeper and deeper into my memories. I can clearly see a lake that tries to hide its beauty, to those not belonging in these woodlands.
Many moons later the time is upon us to feast, to celebrate and honour the spirits. Those who roam these parts of the forest in freedom, who are dedicating their existance to defend that what they call home..... What I have called my home for so many years.
As I lay here my time has come, to become a spirit of the forest

Dinner is served
From a distance raven sees the wolves eat their fallen prey, wishing they could join them. Only when full and signalling with body language to ensure a safe entrance the ravens come closer.
With the same force as clouds release the raindrops from their prison the birds hunger for meat let themself fall to the earth. Hoping that there's still something left for them.
Still having a carefull eye upon it's caretaker when his howl reaches the skies above. Making a hasty retreat.
Now praying to Tapio that he would favor the wolves for their next kill, to finish the dinner they just had with dessert.

Okey, its been like 4 months... WTF I've been doing all that time... I'm angry for myself Since I've been way too lazy on the translation.. But here it is at last, hopefully you like it, since I don't. It didn't turn out as I was hopeing, but since I acknowledge that I'm not a lyrics professional I let the fancy things aside and did my best The song title was Nature's Music / Luonnon MusiikkiaYön saapuessa juhlat alkaa voivat Kuun loisteessa seisovat petäjät todistavat kuinka väkijuoma vuolaasti virtaa tuopist kurkkuun kannattajien kunnes kuu tervehtii aurinkoa aamu varhaisella
Eteläisillä mailla jatkuu karkelo ylhääl pohjoses vuodenajat vaihtuvat, uusia juhlia suunnitellaan Kuullessamme Ukon Wackasta me klaanilaiset tuskin maltamme odottaa
Nälkäämme musiikkia kohtaan ei kukaan tukahduttaa voi metsän klaani siitä huolen pitää

Arivse, This poem looks really very good, but translate, please. I hope this is a joke ;D Its kinda late, so I can't figure out if this is sarcasm or just plain question But if it happens to be a plain question then the answer is the first song from Maris on this topic If it was joke, I think I made a clown of my self... Well not the first time, and not the last ;D

Arivse, great excuse! Because of lack of time, I read here and there, often missing the connection.

Wow--everyone's work is very nicely done! This is a series of haiku-form poems I wrote back in '05--there are many wolf images in the work posted here, so I thought maybe this would fit in...
Wake Up--A Series of Haiku The moon is burning; the night runs through our fingers. Are you still asleep? Who tells the young ones the wolves are not their brothers? The howl makes us kin. The wild howl binds us, draws us deep into shadow. We listen and wait. The wild howl binds us, calls us grinning into night to dance and to run. The howl unites us, rings the sky with our voices, waking the restless. The moonlight paints us feral shades with shining teeth. No coy dogs are we. Hunter and hunted we know both ways of the chase, the flight, the fight, Death. O wolf, my kinsman chewing bones with wet red jaws, remember my step. I remember yours for who could forget that tread behind them at night? The moon is burning; the night runs through our fingers. Are you still asleep?

Got this in my head while walking the dog this evening not how I originally intended, but it's difficult to keep it like it is when you're still 20 minute walk from home and don't have a pen and paper with you LongingsOn a calm night, a girl looking up to the stars so bright and wonders of them doing the same on that calm night under the stars so bright Feeling the light breeze touching her face while far in the distance the town slumbers in a deep sleep Staring into the darkness seeing no movement and whistles a swift tornado of blackness storms out of the bushes, only to blend in again with the black of night being cast on the road. Time seems to slow down since haste has almost lost it's grip but will regain pole position again when the first signs of dawn are becoming visible. The walk alongside the fields are coming to an end when hearing the horse snort. The road back to civilization is inevitable; Back to the lights where the townspeople lay dormant and wait for a new day to come.

it's been a while since my last post in this thread, still have an unfinished one but seems can't find the right mood the finish it.
And somehow when walking the dog Metsatöll's Oma laulu ei leia ma Üles got stuck in my head when I reflected upon what happened today. So my choice of some words are partially based upon that song. I hope you like reading yet another klaanish song from moi ;D
Importance of the journey
I'm looking for the answer, upon the question what is my song. I will travel to distant places and my journey will take me to destinations yet unknown. Taking in everything that crosses my path in hope of it will be the answer searching for.
High, low, sea or earth none shall be overlooked. For I am not the only one, others are searching as well. As a wise man once said: The only journey is the one within. Then the truth suddenly hits me, deep down in my heart I've always known the answer.
Lyrical content isn't the most important thing in life, those will be written along the way. As long as you know to which melody your life revolves around you'll find your way in life.
