If a few months ago I was bragging with my three little Odhinns here (the three kittens Esmenet delivered)..and of which I know naught as I gave them to someone for adoption...well, today I'll say that Loki (the other cat here) had later two cute little kittens as well, Turisas and Isa. Icy looks like their mother's.. But unfortunately, I found the already great hunter Turisas dead two days ago and today ,arriving at home I found Isa very sick, worst shape. And it feels my vet studies=zero. I mean I know what was wrong, but couldn't do much bout the..inevitable. Just hope Isa shall survive, but hopes don't kill strong infections and..bläh! I own these cats as they were about to be thrown away in the street, not because I wanted to have cats around to show off what a great animal lover am I. I am a dog person, but still got attached to them.. Did I just tried to be tough?!!

I'm sorry to hear about Turisas, and about Isa. I hope Isa gets better soon! It's very sad losing an animal, no matter what kind, only shortly after birth. My dear friend lost one of his dogs, whom was very dear to him, after it was hit by a truck on the country road. Oddly enough though he got his other dog pregnant, and we were blessed with more pups just like him. One of them died of pneumonia and it was very sad to hear that news. I am the same way: I'm a dog person, but I still get attached to cats no matter how they can bother me sometimes. Keep us updated on Isa! Hope all goes well!

You are welcome! That is great news to hear! Health to Isa! Indeed. There have been a few dear pets that I've lost over the years, either mine or someone elses, and it is quite sad. A cat at my parents house is quite sick, she has always been very skinny and underfed, but lately it has gotten so bad. Picking her up she feels like a pile of bones, and her bones seem very weak. They took her to the vet and the vet said she has a few problems. She is over 10 years old, and he said usually if a cat begins to start showing such wear after 10 it means they most likely don't have much longer to live, even if it's possible they can still live a few years. My parents have 8 cats in their house I think, and it's very hectic, because they are confined to only a few rooms since the rest are bedrooms or generally closed off rooms. So it can be hard to take care of them all when it's a constant battle to keep their little areas clean. I love these cats, but I sometimes wonder if they would have a better life somewhere else in a family that can give them more room and more attention.

He sleeps in our bed or right next to it My aunt has a little cat with disturbance of growth and nobody wanted to buy her because of it :C but my aunt did it and I´m very happy about it. Her name is Bonsai

I had lots of pets, like an iguana, a snake, a bunny (that sadly died from munching on a wall, silly bunny...), some hamsters, sea turtles... I used to have a dog (basset hound), but I didn't have enough time to take care of it so we gave it away to a home where it would get more attention... (Plus this dog was very stupid and annoying 0_0. I kind of dislike bassets ever since). Now I don't have any animals in my house... But my boyfriend always has cats... When I met him he had the best cat ever! It was so amazing, just like a person... But sadly it died a couple of years ago from cancer After that he had a few other cats that he took from the street, one of them I really liked (not that I didn't like the others but that one was special)... We named him "Tom" after Onkel Tom Angelripper but he got run over by a car a few months ago (My gosh, so many animals die in this story) And now we adopted 2 cats from a rescue shelter, and they're so awesome! One is a great hunter, check out what he brought home some time ago: and the other one... The other cat is RETARDED! Seriously, there something wrong with him, he's just too stupid... But he makes up for it in cuteness! He's the friendliest cat I've ever seen! OK that was long 0_0 Sorry, I just love animals s much

Great story Volk, even if some parts are so sad A snake in the house ! my aunt's cat bring her half-frogs (cut in two). My old one was just too lazy to bring anything back... My old cat died a few years ago, he had cat's AIDS. It's a disgusting desease they can catch like flu, just by sniffing something infected. Yet, I've got a dog, a cat and 6 birds. I found the cat a few monthes ago, in the sewer nearby. It was with its mother but the kitten was very sick, so I took it back home and now the little Thetis (that's her name) is THE tyran at home ! (for example, now she is sleeping on my lap and if I move, I feel a claw in my leg haha) She is only 4 monthes but she bites my old colley (dog). Last time she was sleeping on the dog !

@volk&Savi: I like the photos! and that little Jormungandr though he's not a pet. Well, your stories guys, remembered me of my fave..kant call him pet. He was my dog, a German Sheperd, called Siegfried and was the best companion ever in my walks 12 years ago. I kant talk of any dogs without remembering of him. Special animals are always pleasant to be remembered...

I have many animals... But i have to find a new home for our big black horse and our white pony mare. It is hard to find someone who wants to (and has the possibility) take them both. Both are healthy and fine animals, fit for many happy years. I do not want money for them, i don't sell my friends. I expected to be able to keep them forever, but sometimes life changes and expectations have to be adjusted. That big black horse was my dream. It is hard to give him up. I knwo this is not the right place to advertise them, but who knows... I am also looking for a new home for our four big goats, same conditions. For the chickens i have a new home, but there is no hurry there. Luckily i am able to keep our cats.

@ humppaporo: I admire you for not selling your animals. And I can just agree, animals are good friends, they listen to you and give you a lot of self-confidence. In my case. I don´t kniw you you think but I guess it´s the same. I´m very sorry for you to give away your horse. I had a horse too when I was younger and I spent my freetime with her. But my time was limited when I was getting older, so I decided to give her away to a good friend who cares about her. I don´t want to have a lonely horse, it would break my heart. @ Volk: Wow a snake? Pretty exotic I know a good friend who owned a blind worm and this animal pissed on the damn floor, you can´t imagine the mark on the carpet. I laughed so much

img28.imageshack.us/img28/6185/pa290246a.jpgSo this is Caesar The Crazy Rabbit. Before we got him, I never imagined how a rabbit can be funny. He's also very clever - he loves reading everything from newspapers and leaflets to my school books. The only disadvantage is that he reads with his teeth, so we must be sure he's reading only what we don't need anymore. The craziest thing about him is that when anyone stands up on the floor, he starts running around our legs and he usually carries an old headband in his teeth. It's sooo funny ;D And before he bit off all the hair on it, he used to think it's a beautiful rabbit female ;D So you can imagine, what he regularly did ;D

Humppaporo, I am sorry to hear about your horse, I would die if I had to give away mine. I have had him since he was a foal. I hope you will find a good place for your horses.
