It would be nice to see here too why do you think that namely those bands are the best. Listing just names isn't very good idea.

1. immortal. abbath is one of the gratest musicians in metal imo and the whole atmosphere surrounding that band and their music just fucking rocks. 2. darkthrone. oldschool, true norwegian... i like that kind of shit. i somewhat share their attitude towards the whole world wich makes them kinda sympathic. panzerfaust is propably their best piece of work. 3. korpiklaani. fast, pagan, melodic, humppametal. people from the woods always have my sympathy and korpiklaani's music helped me survive the most fucked up time in my life. thanx for that guys... i know not a single bad or boring tune of them. that means something. 4. finntroll. first time i listened to them was in a cd-shop. listened to jaktens tid. while the intro was still going i knew i had to have this album. i went nuts about it and i still do. great lyrics, great melodies, everything it takes... kinda hard to make a rating, what band i like most always depends on my mood. to say what exactly i like about a band is kinda hard too cause it's always the complete thing that gives me a certain feeling or evokes some memory wich makes me listen to that band. for example bob dylan. great musician no doubt, but he just gives me a shit feeling so i try to avoid him as much as i can...

That's what I call following the advices of an administrator its too hard to tell why I like all this bands, maybe because they are.. as I call unique.. writing a comment to all of those would certainly blow the board, thats why i chose only four... but to be honest, there are so many fuckin good bands around that i listen to, if i wanted to pay credit to all of them, my list would be at least as long as hers, maybe longer. hey dragona, tell us something about your band instead, why we should like them!

I cant choose 5-10-20 bands only, because all bands in my list are my favorite, and thats not all of them... In every music genre there are some bands that I like more than others, for example in progressive metal - Ayreon, Dream Theater, Beyond Twilight, Evergrey, Fates Warning, Pagan's Mind, Queensrуche..etc, i choose this bands (and most others in my list), because I listen to them for a long time already, and I'm not tired from it, in their music there is something different from other bands, and their music is really great

It's not forbidden to use common sense either. When you have a long list about bands, you can tell us why do you like them all in the one sentence as well. You don't have to write a novel about it, but at least one good profound sentence is recommendable. It's always better to write something than not to write at all. As it's in the rules: Listing just names is not a conversation.

my top 5 bands are as follows: 1. Metallica- they played an important role when i was discoverng metal and when i listen to some of thier early stuff off kill em all and ride the lightening, it reminds me of the good old days-along with the fact that i love playing their stuff on guitar 2. Korpiklaani- well. where can i begin? they are one of my fave bands becuase along with metallica i love virtually every song and i could never get bored of them. also it is great to listen to them when you are taking the dog for a walk in the woods or getting drunk 3.Black Sabbath. ha. well this band is one of the few reasons to be proud to be English. i love playing their stuff on guitar and some of the guitar riffs sends shivers down my spine and if it was not for them then perhaps music could be different today. 4. Trivium. i feel these guys are the decendants of metallica. even though they are young, they can still kick maximum ass and every song has a killer riff that makes me want to pick my guitar up and thrash out. i saw them live and they are as good as they are on the album and their music is also inspirational. 5. now i feel that Turisas and Ensiferum both equally deserve a place in my top 5. i am kind of trying to stray away from american metal and trying to experience music from Finland Sweden and norway but these bands are truly great. with turisas i love the way Warlord' creates an atmosphere on prologue of RRR and the epic sound of battle metal. and with ensiferum they have great opening killer guitar riffs like the song iron. i am now starting to believe that finnish/ "scando" metal is way better than metal from america, and i feel lucky to have come across such bands

Brain cells for life! Lol. But there are only a few people who know KK, so you actually have to be lucky to discover it accidentally.. These american bands are widely known, northern european bands are not...
