Last week all vocals were recorded. The last part is Hittavainen's part (and some backing vocals). I know this is not much info, but obviously there was no time left for Korpiklaani to write a studio diary. And it's more important that we get a great new album, than a diary imo Of course all other things (mastering etc) take several months...

About the recordings, Jarkko wrote:
The album is mostly done. Hittavainen will start his job on Monday and then it's only mixing and mastering. The album was not an easy one. We had a lot of stuff to record, I think we had 18 songs that we were supposed to record and then select the best ones for the album, but the summer was extremely busy for us and we had not much time to rehearse the new material, so we (actually Juho and Matson) had to narrow it down quite early in the process. I say Juho and Matson because Juho was the one playing the "demo guitar" for Matti in the studio. Jonne was busy in his own right and could not get to the studio during the week and the weekends were reserved for different bands, so they had to do all the work. When the drum tracks were done Samu did a rough mix of them and the demo guitar which Jonne and I got got so that I could rehearse the songs and Jonne could actually record the guitar parts at home.

Just wait and see what Father Christmas brings you Jonne I'm guessing with a Finnish title for the album, pressumably there are going to be more songs sung in Finnish and a few in English. Correct me if I'm wrong. I just feel as if I'm treading on very thing ice asking that question.

Wow thats a great concept Two songs in English eh? When I listen to it I would know what a Finnish person who doesnt know much English would feel like listening to an album prodominantly sung in a language which isnt their mother tongue but get to specially enjoy the few songs that is in their tongue. Nether the less I really am keen on this new concept

Most songs sung in Finnish?! That's nice, I've always liked non-English songs That's not against the English language, but most songs get a very special touch when they're sung in a language which is not so... *normal*, which is more *native* (shitty explanation, but I just can't say it in English )

OH YEAHHH!!! That's a very good idea, Jonne, to develop your Album more in finnish than English language, I would rather learn Something Finnish Sentence, continuing studying English in Private in Rome, Italy, I would become a Bilinguist if I will undestand interpreters and translaters level first. Good luck Jonne and Korpiklaani!! I'm preparing my Bookshelf doing space for next coming-soon Korpiklaani's TERVASKANTO. Pellonpekko

I just can't wait to get the new album I'm really pleased to hear most songs are sung in Finnish - not that it would be bad if they were sung in English, but (imho) Finnish does sound better

Will there be both Finnish lyrics and English translations for the Finnish songs, or just English or Finnish?
