Not exactly a movie but a documentaion about a german prisan called "Hoheneck" www.epochtimes.de/pics/2007/11/07/xxl/2007-11-07-xxl--S3_3sp_h_eck_hafthaeuser_der_burg_hoheneck2_pb_Kopie.jpgA damn creepy prison for women during the German Democratic Republic time in Germany. Every women who was dangerous, tried to flee or made some obvious affairs against the GDR ( DDR in german) were jailed in it and abused. I feel so mad, again a dark chapter in the history of my mother country. Why so many people want to have this time back is inapprehensible for me.

@ Volk: Damn they look much better in the picture, Hitler Tinkie Winkie ( damn why do I know these fuckin names? -.- ) Somebody should picturise the Scarytubbies. I would love to watch them @ metsanmies: Yes you´re right, but there are so many prejudices against the german people. Even I´m called Nazi because I´m german. Many foreign person keep distance from us because they think we´re facsists and love Hitler and all this shit. I´m very happy to find people who don´t ask me " Is Hitler still alive? Are you for or against Hitler? Is Germany still a dictatorship?" first and see that I´m just a girl from Germany who is interested in other cultures. But to see how germans spys on their own family or the friends to get a better status makes me sick even I know that this time is already over.

We had some Americans at our school for a few weeks and they asked these questions, I mean 1945 was not yesterday and we chanced so much. But some americans ( no offence) are so stupid and won´t see the truth. do they learn about our history oO? I´ve learned American history

I dunno, maybe one of the Americans here can enlighten us? Here we also lean a little American history. But no German, except for WWI and WWII. I think that mostly, in every country they teach its own history in the schools.

Savi, unfortunately the only international History Americans here learn about is VERY vague, and guess what the only thing we get to learn about Germany is? WWII this, WWII that, Hitler this, Nazis that. Like I've said before, I myself have been called a Nazi, either for my mild views in politics, or for the fact I study German culture and language. It doesn't help that not only do schools teach so little about any history (including our own), but that German history especially is demoralized to one time and period. It doesn't help further more that every movie, video game, etc. involving Germany is 99 times out of 100 about Nazis and WWII. The only other way Americans see Germans are as Bavarians wearing Lederhosen, playing accordion, and drinking beer. Which this side I prefer a lot more to the constant Nazi portrayal. That's one of the biggest reasons I wish to become a German teacher, not only to teach the language and it's importance, but to teach also the VAST history which goes WAY beyond WWII. Anyways, there is one movie with Nazis in it that I wouldn't mind watching, but that is because it is Norwegian, and is more comedic than serious. Dead Snow. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkC7HiAlAeE(Sadly though, even many of my German friends of said even in Germany they really only learn about WWII, and if you want to learn previous history you have to take specialized classes)

Nazi zombies - classic! The best (aka dumbest, weirdest and most pointless) Nazi zombie movie I've ever seen is "Hard Rock Zombies". As the matter of fact I just though it was a movie about a hard rock band being attacked by zombies... Sounds nice so far... Imagine how surprised I was when at some point one of the zombies took off his mask, and suddenly it was HITLER!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUEK6FlOmkY

Excuse me, but I've fell down on the ground laughing. I have a little experience in talking with foreigns, and I can say that Germans are maybe one of the LEAST conservative and "Hitlerish" people, so you may tell everyone who asks you those questions that they're dumb idiots (who usually know nothing about Germany except that once there was Hitler, so this is their only association with your culture). Same thing here. But I even don't argue. If stupid people don't talk with me cause I'm Nazi in their opinion - I'm only glad. My opinion - the best FULL-LENGTH film about Nazi zombies is the Norwegian "Dod Sno" (sorry, I have no umlauts on my russian keyboard). But it is good only for Nazi zombie lovers, 'cause it's some kind of a parody... but a very good parody. So don't show it to people who are not into Nazi zombie films - because there are not very many effects. P.S. Fukk, Anwend has already written about it. I thought only our Russian maniacs are fond of it And maybe the only good, a really good film about living Nazis that I've ever watched is "The Downfall".

Yes, it is really bad when even Germans are so non-conservative that they call other Germans Nazis. (Antifa groups are fine example of taking things way too far). To me, that is a term that shouldn't be thrown out at anyone or anything with even a mild political base, no matter what side that base is on. I just hate when peoples pasts (in any context) are thrown at them, especially when that past was not in this generation and thus has absolutely no grounding. On a more light note, there is another Nazi based movie that I'm extremely excited to see: Iron Sky. A film done by the Finns who gave us "Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning". I have yet to see that, but I first heard about it by my dear friend who shares my Finnish obsession and love of film. The movie is a fictional story about Nazis going to the moon in 1945 and setting up a base camp. Now in 2018 after establishing years of being away from earth they decide to return. I absolutely love that concept, because it is obviously not overly serious, and thankfully the filmmakers have said they plan on mocking all sides equally, not just completely picking on the Nazis. (Of course, they don't say the same when trying to pitch this movie in Germany, afterall even this long after WWII one can't even talk about it, let alone joke about it without getting into trouble). It's nice to see another film that can take the constant overly serious tones out of films involving Nazis, and make it a comedic yet still serious effect. Here's the teaser: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn4DW1uvsAE

You know, the most fucked up thing in all of this is that in general, Jewish people (and I'm sure this is correct for all the other people that suffered Nazi oppression) have no problem laughing and joking about what happened... Of course, there are some tight-ass people that don't get it and are shocked to hear "holocaust jokes" and think that it's wrong.. But I can't help but feel that it's better to make jokes then to make a grim face every time someone mentions it. It's the Germans that are still afraid of the subject.. I'm not saying that it shouldn't be taken seriously - it totally should and it was a horrible thing that happened. But now it seems that the German people are much more sensitive about the issue than anyone else. Most Germans I've spoken to were afraid to even take the conversation that way, and those who weren't were really ashamed. Which is ok, but at the end of the day, when you're a 20-something years old German metalhead, you shouldn't feel the need to apologize to your fellow metalhead for something your grandparents might have done, just because you find out he's from Israel 0_0

Mate, you have to see it, it's bloody funny in that peculiarly Finnish way, and really well done. Let me know if you can't get hold of it, I'm pretty sure it's still sitting on a disk here. And the female lead, Tiina Routamaa, she's... hot : I will keep an eye out for Iron Sky.
