Yes, I've forgot about this movie. My friends told me about it, but I still haven't checked it. In fact, I don't watch a lot of movies...

The movie is not out yet, they are still working on production, but it's looking very promising from their website. One of the main actors was also in Downfall (if I'm not mistaken), and the other main actors are also fairly well known, quite surprising considering their start as filmmakers was low-budget. Just goes to show having a passion for something really can pay off if you work at it, at least one likes to think. Yeah, I also don't watch a ton of movies, I absolutely love cinema but don't have the time or the patience to watch it a lot. Most of my friends think I'm crazy, because they will be talking about extremely popular movies or the like and I'm sitting there without any knowledge of it.

@volk: Exactly, and to me, I think comedy is VERy important tool for being able to overcome things. People often dislike me because I make jokes about every situation, past or present, no matter how "horrible", because to me it shows that you don't let those things take over your life. I hear a lot of people say "but we have to remember such things." I never understand this, it's not like we are ever going to forget, and besides, focusing on PAST atrocities blinds us from PRESENT ones. Not to mention, we could go on forever about all the different genocides that have happened, many of which went on around WWII, so what about those victims and those crimes? Millions after millions of people were murdered in Russia under communist rule, and even many Germans were murdered in terrible ways in Prison camps during WWII. An old friend of mine's Father was in a German prison camp, and could tell you it certainly was no picnic, and very lucky he even made it out at all. We can't focus on one particular event for the rest of our lives, we must move forward and we must learn how to make jokes about things. Heck, I make jokes about myself, my heritage, my appearance, etc. To me there is no problem with this and it actually helps you feel better in general and about the world. It's not "trivializing" things by joking about them, certainly not, however it is trivializing things when you take them so far into account that you can't joke about them. Perhaps that is just me, but humor and comedy is the way people connect, if people can't take your joke, no matter how "rude" or blatant it is, then those are the type of people not worth hanging around, as they will take everything seriously. kuusuru: my friend mentioned something about being able to watch it online, but I haven't had the chance to search for it. If you could send a file or so my way I'd be extremely pleased! The DVD is supposed to come out this Autumn (or so I've heard in an interview with the Producer and Director) in America, and has already been released in the UK. But there is no way I can afford it, even if it would be 5 dollars.

There is a free CC-licensed version, which was how it was first released, before someone realised they had a marketable product on their hands . You can find a torrent here: www.legaltorrents.com/torrents/53-star-wreck---in-the-pirkinningIt's in xvid format, whatever that is - it works fine as is on my Ubuntu desktop, but you're probably running Windows, so... not sure . You might have to install a DivX codec or player or something. Google should help. If you are unable to download it - PM me your postal address, I'll burn it to CD and send it the good old fashioned way ;D

Sweet, I'll download that right away. I thought they had a free licensed version to begin with, but wasn't completely sure. I have all the DivX player and codec, all up to date, so if that doesn't work I'll figure something out, and if not then I'll PM you for that CD. Thank you!

The special effects were very good (The story and the religious "background" was as bad as I thought) ! So I would say it started at 0/10 and went to 6/10, not a good film but still entertaining.

I've been told a lot about 2012, and everybody says it's mediocre. The last thing that I'd expected from a movie like this is a happy end, and my friends told me that they even have started to shoot 2013...

Wateched 2012 today with friends in the cinema. The effects kicked ass Damn great, really! But sometimes it was so stupid, for example the Chinese invented some kind of spaceship to survive the apocalypse but the door of this spaceship was not able to close because there was a broken tube -.- The best technology and the fuckin door will not close because of a damn tube oO And there was such a funny Russian called Juri and his german voice was fucked up so I started to laugh everytime he said something and one sentence will be an insider forever " We just take the Bentley!" haha that was awesome.

This DVD was the final straw for me, after watching it I lost all respect to Metallica what so ever =\ I still love their first few albums but I don't think I'd go see them live now days if I ever got the chance...
