@ Tina: Thank you! That means so much coming from a dear friend and respected individual as yourself. It motivates me even more to finish all the recordings of all the songs I've written these past couple years but have not been able to finish. I would be happy to stop by your castle! Hehe! It has always been my dream to be a Skald or Bard of some sort. Making my stays at various peoples places, and paying them in Song, good company, and a helping hand. Sadly though this world has become very ill towards bards, as is clearly witnessed where I've grown up. If money does not come with your name, you can stay no where, nor will a good amount of people even allow you to warm up their hearts! @ Kirki: I'm not sure exactly the name of the chord, I know chords by sound rather than by name, but I do plan on getting a Piano chord chart or at least looking at one. Once I do I'll let you know. I enjoy writing simple music. There is absolute power in simplicity, and you can hear it over and over again and be forever pleased. I am happy to proclaim myself as a "simple" musician. That would be great Kirki! I have a lot of respect for bassists, and they often are under-appreciated as musicians simply because their instrument is less heard (yet often times more powerful) than guitars and drums. Even more so I enjoy solo songs written on any instrument, and to hear some on bass would be wonderful! Thanks again. Perhas this calls for a new thread, dedicated to the Music, Art, Videos, Sounds, etc. of fellow forum members. Perhaps we could start a Korpiklaani Forum project, haha.

Andrew, that stuff is really great (and Kirki's poems are too). You both have to spend more time on those things in your life, and you'll definetely be well-known - as the Skald and the Poet. I'll say no more, because I'm not much eloquent. It seems that my dream to be a musician never will come true (I borrowed a bass from my friend's, but he needs it back - one guy wants to buy it). But maybe once I'll issue that stuff on CD...

Alas our verbal eloquence is not appreciated in our modern times. I have recorded some of the "I Wish" solo, but it is very technical to play correctly at times. This room is hot and I don't have enough space, so it ended up just annoying me lol. I will record the rest later! Or I could just upload a MIDI that is cheating haha. I wonder if I can compose any more poetry this evening...? Apparently yes haha. The Value of GoldWhat is the value of gold? I do not mean the fair treasure, Which embellish'd the robes of kings of old, And that with its greedy measure, Somehow tears the world apart, The gold I mean, you cannot hold, 'tis the gold within my heart. So tell me why you cannot see, The golden gleam I hold within, The charming treasure I can be, The happiness I wish to bring. I ask if I may be so bold, What, to you, is the value of gold?

Alas our verbal eloquence is not appreciated in our modern times. Then write for the art-loving hearts, not for "modern" ones! And you'll be the voice of the last nobles... Create and remember that you are heard and understood correctly!

@croc: Thank you a lot. If I ever record a CD I plan on getting it pressed professionally, if I can afford it. If that is the case, I'll send a few copies to you in Russia so you can try selling them at your store. In regards to the music front, never give up on that dream. I see too many people get out of music because they think it is more talent than skill, and in all honesty although some of us are born with a talent, it is equal part skill and anyone can learn it. If I ever make it to Russia, I'll bring a couple of my guitars and would be happy to help you learn. @ Kirki: Yet another beautiful poem! This one I like the best, just because the concept of "the gold in my heart" and the purity it possesses. A gold that no amount of mining can obtain, unless it is the mining we do ourselves. Very beautiful imagery and wonderful verse. I wish I could rhyme so well! I have but one poem on the concept of Love (a few others, but they were not finished or too horrible, being that I wrote them when I was very young) and it was actually, ironically the last poem I wrote (you'll see the irony once I share it, perhaps next time). Now we talk of "Love and Relationships" in a different light. IN accordance to the Love of our own creations, and the love of so-called "inanimate" objects and ideas. Yet anyone who has felt this Love for things like Music and Poetry, knows that it is very real. We possess a special gift, to not only feel Love in one another, but Love in the things we create and everything else around us. In reality, all Love within the human heart is very real. It possesses a great power that is unknown to most of us, and obtained and unlocked by very few. Let us grab our pick-axes and find a way to mine the Gold in our Hearts I say!

I know that skill is important, but I'm too old now to get it=) Anyway, thank you for the support. OK, let's return to love and friendship topics!

@croc: the talks were about friendship with precise purposes and exposure. If the last posts here aren't bout and with friendship, what else is it? But I indulge you and write sth else haha. So, tis so: i disapprove the sabotage thing mentioned a few posts before. The eyes that see what they have in front of them are the real thing. Why mistaken them and sabotage? To obtain someone's attention with falsity? No, let the things come naturally..if not, twas just a small fire..

Mercy! Such artistes we have among us! The poet laureate of the forum and the court minstrel as well! Amazing the works of art inspired by love and loss, by nature and environment or simply trickled into our hearts from somewhere! FYI... Once I move into my castle in British Columbia you are all more then welcome to be members of the court! Bards, poets, minstrels, jesters, knights, courtesans... all positions! Plenty of mead with late night karkelo and low morals! LOL! And could always use a houseband if KK would be so inclined! ;D
Favorite quotes on friendship? “A good friend will help you move, but a great friend will help you move the bodies!” and "A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting beside you saying "Damn! That was fun!"

And jesterish happyttude flows through my veins constantly. And if any tune doth move me, I do backingvocals as well, in time to make the guests leave and have all the food only for me ;D ;D ;D True, t'will be a great gathering if all of us join for a karkelo...praising friendship as it should!

Yes, really, it will be great to gather all or most of us on a karkelo, but it's just a dream and practically impossible.
But it is not bad to have some people, even far away, who have in their hearts friendly feelings for you, even like a nick.

Well, if it is impossible Wolferin, we shall make it possible. I will swim to Europe, dragging our American comrades with me, and then go through Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Germany, and all other lower European Countries kidnapping you all, and then we meet up in Finland for a gathering! haha. Indeed such a dream, although it would be a great one. Everyone on here is so wonderful and I feel bad for not getting to keep up with all the PM's I owe people or getting to talk with everyone more in depth. Such a gathering would be wonderful. I would be more than happy to be a court minstrel for you Crystiannia! It has always been a dream of mine to live the life of a German Minnesanger, singing old high german and middle high german songs of Love and longing around a castle! I sometimes wonder if I was either a minstrel or a knight in a past life, but then it dawns on me that some of the most profound knights were themselves minstrels! Two-for-one deal! haha To me romantic Love is still waiting in a corner somewhere that I have not yet found. But I still have many lovely friends like you all here to keep my heart at ease. Thank you for that, dear friends!

I agree with you Anwend in everything, except the abduction part ;D Don't even think bout it, or wear a white flag with the following inscription :,, your women are my friends, allow me to speak closer" ;D ;D I'm kidding.. A tour meeting all would be great. But greater would be at least a small gathering of us. I had/have that in mind...we'll see..

Hahaha, I'll get those shirts printed right off! Well, I know if I make it to Europe, I would be more than happy to go around and spend some time with various members on this forum, if they would want me near them that is. haha. I've always had big visions of adventure, so it makes me sometimes unable to see, so-called "realistically". My mentality allows me only to dream up of an adventure, and find a way to see it become possible. "impossible" is not a word in my vocabulary. Impossibility itself is the only impossible thing.

But with serious intemtions, thinking and saving money for that starting early..

;D I want EVERYONE to come join me! ;D Imagine, would that not be wonderful? A big enough place (so castle a must) where all could attend and each have their own space when needed! So we all could happily gather and celebrate and at least while there ignore the mundane world outside! To come and go as please! No worries on castle grounds! (Medieval/renaissance/ viking/ gothic/archaic dress optional Skyclad? Umm... depends on the weather! ) And I can sincerely offer, since the castle bit may be a ways off, to happily share my tiny apartment for any dear forum friends who should find themselves wandering about nearby. The accomodations would be tight, and the atmosphere a bit creepy (who paints their living room RED? with wrought iron decor?) but I promise good shelter, decent food, potable beer and perhaps some fair conversation as well! Just look for the door that says "Welcome Friends" written in Olde English and Runes! Good? Okay, I will make sure I have comfy soft blankets and clean pilsners ready! Ah Wolferin! Maybe not "impossible" just very very hard! A KK gig somewhere midway perhaps?
