OK, uplifted by my new level (kotka ;D finnaly) and reading about a possible Korpiklaani digipak somewhere i'll start a new thread - a voting one of sorts: Jewel Case CDs or Digipaks? 1-which ones do you prefer and why? 2-which ones dominate your collections? 3-should ("would?" for band members) Korpiklaani put out digipaks? my humble (oh, yes, starting a new thread is very humble ) opinions: 1-digipaks, because they look better, feel better and often come with extras 2-jewel cases, sadly 3-most definitely ;D

Digipaks look better, but I always buy jewel cases, because then I can take the booklet out and take it to the concerts to have them signed by the artists (I just love this... almost all CDs I have, are signed by the band members... not the Bathory-CDs though.... ).

1. Digipacks - they look better (and like you say often come with extras!) 2. Jewel cases - not all bands put out digipaks, and they're usually limited ed. 3. Yeah, why not?!

1 - digipaks; the casing doesn't brake, visual attractivity, extras 2 - near half-half actually, i never buy a jewel cased CD if there is a digipak version available 3 - isn't this up to the label? and NR doesn't seem too be fond of digipaks

1 - Jewel cases. Digipaks get all dog-eared. 2 - Mostly jewel cases. I don't like albums coming with extra tracks on the CD, either, because it ruins how the album was supposed to be. 3 - Hopefully not, because I hate digipaks.

1. By against all common sense: digipak. It gets small damage every time you put it to the cd rack, and if you snap the cd-attach spikes from the center, you can't replace it. 2. Jewe case, definetly. By quick count there's only ~10 digipaks. 3. I wouldn't resist, since I always want to get the most limited version of the cd anyway.

1. Jewel Cases. Digipacks get ruined and the booklet is always a problem. 2. Jewel Cases. 3. Same difference for me... unless it had some extras.

well than, treat yer CDs better, um? ;D I do treat them good, but every time I put them in the rack they catch, or if I accidentally drop it, it gets damaged. You can't replace a digipak, but you can replace a jewel case.
