Funnily enough I'm listening to Surma just as I voted for it on the other Thread. Trying not to repeat myself but just as a whole I'm digging the melody and the way Jonne sings during the verse really catches me.
@tiina: Thanks for the above video. I wanted to check this band out, but I could only see their advert in the Metal Hammer magazine and I could not ready the logo properly!

I only voted for Surma at the moment because I find that general melody of the song is quite a complex and catchy tune which I'm really liking at the moment. Also the way the intro goes from one speed transition to another (to the verse) but I'll be honest it throws me when it goes from fast to slow.

I would like to say thank you to the band for amazing music which cheers me up no matter what. It is impossible to stay angry/fed up listening to Korpiklaani. Ialso wanna say thank you to Good Old Jonne for always letting me go back stage to hang out with the band!

The latest book I've read is The wolf sea wrote by Robert Low. A band of vikings are hired to recover the Holy Spear that was used to Kill Jesus and other fictional religious artifacts bringing curse, death and new adventures with each one. At the start of one book he goes into detail about how people would get staked..... up their bottom

I'm listening to Heathen Foray from Austria. The song is called The Wintering and its really melodic. Kinda like a more jolly Amon Amarth with folk based elements involved.

The gig at The Relentless Garage 28th October in London was quite special for 2 reasons. The 1st reason was that they played for almost 2 hours as they were the only band that was playing, the second is that they played quite a few songs from the Spirit Of The Forest album as-well as some Shaman songs, which was like Orbina and I Le Voibmi.
I was pretty lucky to hang out with them before the gig and Jonne showed me his guitars and explained the new Mic stand concept. The venue soon flooded with fans when the doors opened and its such a good sight to see a full house for one of the bands you love, especially when they join in with the chanting.
Since I first started to like Korpiklaani back in 2004 I have noticed such a growth in them its amazing. From costume changes, guitar/bass changes, to how the songs are and the live presence they emit its quite phenomenal. I didn't get many live photos as the lighting made it difficult but I got a few from before the gig I shall load up soon \,,/

My 1st experience with this crazy band was 5 years ago. At that time i was getting into hunting and I bought Metal Hammer magazine and it had a battle metal cd on it and on there was Hunting Song funnily enough and the rest is obvious. My last experience was seeing them live in Bristol, I had all of the band around my car rocking it waking up my hungover mate and I got them to sign the back of my car.... good times!

This reminds me of when me and my friend Kris was lucky enough to hang out backstage at Bloodstock 2007 with the band, after a few vodka's (i spilled a bit of Vodka and Matson shouted at me!) I gave Jonne my favorite Thors hammer, I wonder if he still has it?

I hope everything is allright so far Jonne. I can remember some people chatting about an acoustic album (between tervaskanto and korven albums) thinks its an awsome concept. Well good luck for any Ideas you may get Jonnie
