Harmaa - Saapumien / Emerging.
Don't know how I came up with this band, saw their name somewhere, downloaded a few songs, and got smashed by their use of acoustic piano parts within the songs ^_^

Lemuria - A Day Of Reckoning.
Very nice and catchy folk metal from our neighbours in the South (Belgium). I'm still sad that they broke up.

NP: Heidevolk - Het Gelders Volkslied. Our Dutch pride, together with Thronar. Really nice guys and awesome musicians. Their new album will be released in March.

Forefather: Fifledor This is quite an epic song. I love the sound of their voice, does really set the atmosphere. Forgot to say that they are Anglo-saxon metal so the Finns have Turisas and koriklaani- I have forfather

Claudia, wow! I never even thought that my humble suggestion would make a whole new topic. Thank you very much! And thanks a lot to all of you who have been writing here - it's much more interesting to read about your thoughts or anything related to the song Now listening to: Domenico Scarlatti - Vorrebbe dak tuo cor. It's classical music composed by Domenico Scarlatti from his opera " tetide in sciro" Honestly, I don't know anything about this composer or this opera but i have it on cd because the vocals are sung by a beautiful voice - the polish singer Anna German (Hörmann)But in this part is no singing yet - i think it's an opening to the story and it's a very good choice because it sounds so beautiful! I really enjoy listening classic music (when i was 12 it was the only style of music i even listened to), of course it depents on the piece but i love the idea that the beauty is only on the music - not lyrics, not singing but only the music! it's very inspiring and relaxing at the sametime, very creative! When writing a letter or doing a schoolwork, the music what i listen at the spesific moment must be instrumental or sung by a monk choir at least. Otherwise i won't get the peace needed...

Anthrax - Only
A boyfriend of nine years ago made me a mix tape, but didn't give me the tracklisting. I was playing the tape with a friend the other day and he recognised an Anthrax song - I had been listening for nine years and didn't know the band!
So I found some Anthrax songs and this one, Only seems familiar, but I can't think where I might have heard it. Love the feeling of familiarity and strangeness mixed together.

Lacrimosa: Copycat I'm watching this video on YouTube.com ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd_h9HIaaRE) because a friend send me it to see the singer hair. However, I didn't pay attention on it, I paid attention on the music. And I like it.

An absolutely different style to what Lacrimosa in fact does.... or rather I´d say it´s nearer to a purer Gothic style rather than the classical music mix with gothic that became a trademark years after. I love Copycat too, though my favourite ones are far from that song.
So following with Lacrimosa I´ve been watching and rewatching since I downloaded it yesterday the "Lichgestalt" video... I love that song, is... well, I don´t know how to explain it but I heard the Kyrie album and I thought Lacrimosa was over, nothing new from them... and they recorded that new album and I gave it a try and I heard Lichgestalt.... oh my God, that´s what music should be!!!!! I love the tempo, how it increases slowly untill there´s that explossion of colours in the chorus, then that slow part then to bring back the chorus.... amaaaaaaaazing Tilo Wolf. It´s a pity they don´t come back to Madrid, it must be really amazing to watch them live

Thanks Dave for talk about Lacrimosa. I'm listening to Lichtgestalt song right now, and I've noticed some changes in the music. However, I like Lichtgestalt more than Copycat. Could you recommend me some Lacrimosa songs? Thanks in advance!

My favourite one is the first one I heard from them, Alleine Zu Zweit (German side, please, correct any misspelling ). I remember I heard from a group called Lacrimosa and the first thing I thought was "oh, when those Gothic bands will leave their cliches?"... some months later my brother bought a compilation, and that song was there, Alleine Zu Zweit, and it was like "oh man, how can this people be so good?". Their style is different from the time of Copycat, much more orchestrated, and it makes a perfect mix between the classic and the metal sides; but you must be aware that sometimes their songs are quite long and with not so much lyrics. But try that one I told you; another one from the Elodia album is "Halt Mich" which is one o f my favourites too. I´ll try to recommend you some others by PM, but give me a couple of days, please

Korpiklaani - Beer beer.
It gives me a flashback to the first Korpiklaani gig here in Holland. They recorded a part of their videoclip for Beer Beer during that gig. Very funny to see your own head in the audience xD
