If you want to discuss this with anybody, please, do it by PM. Shaman, please, it's not me who must tell you anything, but nobody has felt angry for this joke except you. Death of a person is terrible, ok, but still is part of this life, just as everything concerning mankind is part of life; this way you could never make a joke about anything; imagine you tease one of your friends and he/she reacts like this... just an innocent joke and somebody gives more importance than it deserves, it would be crazy. You've got to learn to measure what has importance, what's done with bad intention and what not. What would you think if somebody makes a joke about Spanish and I judge this joke is rude to me since there are 40 millions of Spanish of many different conditions? Everyday hundreds of Spanish are born and die, a general joke about Spanish could be taken as irrespectful to those people, don't you think? *Forgive moderators team for the offtopic* tomorrow I'll try to write an answer to the topic. Feel free, please, to erase this off-topic if you feel it must be removed. One last thing about it:I think this time YOU are the one who give something more importance than it deserves.Don`t think I always want to start a big thing here,so calm down. :)I just said my opinion in a few sentences,I didn`t insult someone and I didn`t want to discuss.(btw,I don`t think that a fair discussion about a subject is a bad thing, but it doesn`t belong in this thread.)I think telling a opinion isn`t forbidden here.I don`t share your opinion about such jokes and I think if you lost someone who is important for you you also couldn`t laugh about such jokes.I have to say more about it but I don`t want to discuss here with you,so let`s leave this subject here. btw,the threadstarter isn`t registered so I couldn`t say it through PM... End of "discussion"...

well, kuuru, thks for the info! i remembmer some females voices i find nice: cadaveria from opera ix and cadaveria angela gossow(i think its like this) from....-im having a momentary lapse, so i cant recall the name of the band. its one that has the "we will rise" song. im not sure if its Jennifer LeeAnna or Erika from autumn tears. one of them, at least, has a kick ass "black metal" voice. noticeable in the song "black heaven".

I just tell one with clean voice and one with grim voice: clean voice: Hansi Kursch from Blind Guardian (and various other projects). Just wonderful... Grim: Tomi Koivusaari from Amorphis (from the beginnig to Elegy). Dark but still I find his voice beautiful, I was just littlebit disappointed when I saw him live in the bootleg video, it didn't convince very much, but atleast in the records he is just great!
There are many other wonderful singers too but I would chose those from these two gathegories...
PS. IMO The singer does not have to be great singer to be good one. For example I find Ragnar Vikse from Einherjer very good singer even he does not sing so well...

If you put it like this, I agree, or more that I like/love the whole of these great bands, not just the singers.
Aren't you mixing up things? I thought that Henri Sorvali (Trollhorn) did keyboards and guitars and that Ville Sorvali did the vocals... :Pwhoever it was, it sounds great!
Skyforger, Finntroll..just rule!

Jon Oliva- SAVATAGE, Mad Butcher(?)- Wonderful clear vocals, great screams. Also a very capable rough vocalist. Mad Butcher (I think that's the name ) was a band of Jon's in the early 90's, after he left Savatage. (R.I.P. Criss Oliva- 1963-1993) Chuck Billy- TESTAMENT- Listened to Testament since 1986, but prefer the newer death metal roar (Demonic & The Gathering) I've scared children at the beach with "Sewn Shut Eyes". Awesome!!!! Eric Peterson- DRAGONLORD, Testament ( backing vocals )- He's a good black metal screamer and it works well with Chuck Billy's roar. Neil Fallon- CLUTCH- He barks a mean cadence! Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth- OVERKILL- I prefer the newer ones (From The Underground And Below, Necroshine, Bloodletting) Jamie Jasta- HATEBREED- Hardcore at it's finest! Now is the time for me to rise!!! Brian Fair- SHADOWS FALL- Great rough and clean vocalist. DIO- Shouldn't need any explanation. Will Martin- EARSHOT- He is a very good. Comparable to Maynard James Keenan (TOOL) Many great bands! I could go on and on... Shit! My time ran out!! I don't know if I log back in, would I lose the text for this post? I'm new to forums and computers in general. I didn't get started on computers until age 32 (Jan. 2005!) !!! I've spent too much time in the woods! Sorry!

Actually, I'm not sorry so much time in the woods! ;D The last post was mine. I spent too much time browsing the fine conversations in this forum, and ran out of time before I posted! I apologize for any past or future breach in etiquette. Phil Anselmo- PANTERA, DOWN, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, etc- He is good and capable at all types of metal vocals. MASTODON- They have three guys bellowing, roaring, and growling. Only the drummer doesn't sing. They also do epic "Manowar-type" metal very well. Lynn Strait (R.I.P.)- SNOT- If you have to listen to "new punk", this is the one for metal fans. Get some! Henry Rollins - BLACK FLAG, ROLLINS BAND- Kicks the shit out of all the whiny, emo, wanna be punk and hardcore bands that are trying to be angry at their world!

Paul Kuhr of Novembers Doom is amazing. One of the best monotone/ambient/growling vocalists I've ever heard.
