A bard's god is Hansi Kürsch. No doubt about this, think of "The Bard's Song"

And why? It's been a general rule in here to tell also why one likes somebody is the best in these "Your favourite.." - topics. Listing is not conversation.

James Hetfield is my favourite singer becuase he has contrast from metal singing like one- and then a soothing voice in nothing else matters to " and he can sing amazing live unlike some metal singers but Jonne doesnt need to be mentioned here becuase everybody knows that he is brilliant

Ingo Tauer... I love this voice... Oh there are so many singers I like! Because there are so many bands I like! Satyr is very good, too...

I put my answer here a few pages ago, but I'm just listening to Fear Factory and Burton C. Bell deserves a place on my list! He has amazing control on his voice, and an impressive range. Admittedly, the first Fear Factory song I heard was Replica, but my heart soared when his voice did.
And he's not quite so 'metal', but Mike Patton of Faith No More/Mr Bungle/Fantomas fame outstrips almost any vocalist I can think of. It seems he can mimic almost any style of singing he hears.

my favorite singer is Eric Adams from Manowar, firstly, he has very strong voice and his singing is very clear (or used to be) secondly, in privacy he's damned good guy and it's not only my opinion

Tarja Turunen from Nightwish! ex-Nightwish I was just happy I got to see them live a few times before they kicked Tarja. She may not be the best opera singer, but those songs were very much written with her in mind. It will be interesting to see who finally replaces her.

I thought Tarja was the best opera singer! When I heard they split, I'd never felt so dismayed about a band splitting up in my life... It's like hearing about a good friend's divorce! I wonder what Nightwish will sound like in the future with no Tarja. I think Tarja Turunnen and Marco Hietala are my favorite male-female DUO in any band... their voices alternating are stunning. They both sound so amazing. Vibeke Stene from Tristania also sings gorgeously. A couple other favorites: Valfar (R.I.P.) from Windir wins for most bone-chilling shrieks! He sounds so tormented, and yet I feel so ecstatic listening to him. It's sick! Cornelius Jakhelln (Sturmgeist) just has a really, really awesome sexy voice. Especially when he sings in German. ;D Vintersorg is great too. And James Hetfield. He was my favorite singer for a very long time, through the 80s and early 90s before I discovered all these other stunning new bands!

Apperently the lead singer from Within Temptation was going to replace Tarja but that was all just a silly speculation.
