I just finished the highschool (a technic, I don't know how you call them), and I'm starting university this year in graphic design, it's the closest thing to what I like that you can live from.

I'm student in first year of master's degree in cellular and integrated Neurosciences.... The brain is complex jigsaw and so interesting field. I will perform my intership in Helsinki in 2009 and my internship tutor would like that I create my research project. And the topic of my project is : The involvement of CRF on emotional pain in the amygdala. Amygdala is a structure on the brain which is involved on emotional pain, unpleasant sensation of pain, and also anxiety, fear... and other emotion. And the purpose of my project is to know if the modulation of CRF (neuropeptide) is involved on pain in amygdala.

I'm a nanny! It's a great job; the baby I care for is only a month older than my daughter, so it's like having twins five days a week.

I'm studying environmental sciences. It's quite interesting but by university is so (non)organized I think I'll go crazy before getting any kind of diploma, if I ever get it

I'm currently getting my GED. I know, that it won't get me a good job, but it was my last resort. I'm also training to become a auto body repair tech. So if any of you guys crash your car, send it my way! ;D

I've just started classes for my certificate for Flight Assistant: traveling, learning other cultures and languages and being paid for that! (And I'll be able to go to NY for free to crash cars for you, Ice Troll xD)

Better paints, tools, sandpaper and everything else.

You have to love the first few dozen responses here especially from the KK guys! ;D LOL! How things change in only a few years!
I would like to say I am a writer, but that doesn't pay yet! I've done a few things. Studied psychology and was a cadet in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp (derailed by a back injury! Darn!). Was a pre-kindergarten teacher for several years and that was most awesome! I got payed (although very little) to fingerpaint and read books all day! I used to bring my goth dolls in for show & tell, I was the "cool" teacher with the black and pink hair! LOL! I miss that place so! Now I'm a statement and trading specialist with one of the Wall Street bad guys that are still kind of standing. It's interesting! But I work there with all of my old friends from my retail days so it is quite a nice enviroment. My tattoos and musicical choices are always a great source of amusement for my bosses! I even have my little 'klaani pin and postcard displayed on my desk! And my wallpaper always rotates from KK to Nightwish to Amon Amarth! ;D

Thanks Crystiannia for reviving this forum. Nice to see that what started as a means for the members to share their secondary jobs turned into a place where all members did. Spontaneity kicks ass! Haha I'm... drum roll.... unemployed! I might be starting my second year of college in a few weeks, but I'm so confused as to what I want to aspire to after my degree. Originally I wanted to continue to University and then do a double major in German and Philosophy to become a professor. But now I am wondering about going to an Art Design school to do something more hands-on. I guess I'm torn between my two biggest passions: Languages and Art (which includes music of course!) as well as teaching, I love teaching, and I would love to be a German and Philosophy Professor, because I think German language is sadly being killed off in America, and I hate to see it happening... I'm working on getting more crafts made to make income from that. I have good prospects and a great deal of people who Love what I do, so I think it could go well. My biggest problem is: empathy (once again). in that, I want to keep my crafts cheap so that everyone can afford them, no matter how poor they are, because I grew up poor and could never afford the great works of those I held in high regard. But then again, if I do that, I won't make any money and will have to work forever because when hand-made things are that cheap, people will eat them up like nothing. In reality though, my biggest aspiration is to be a travelling Scald. What better things to do then to wander from friend to friend in various countries, singing songs and giving good cheer for a place to stay and a warm fire to snuggle up to? P.s. I have a dream of attending one day Sibelius Academy in Finland to study Traditional Music and Music Theory. P.p.s. I know this thread was meant for "what is your job" not "what do you want to be." but Let's pretend that what I want to be is my job. It certainly is a job trying to get there. haha
