The religion in my country has marked a line of blood...if It's not only yours! How many indians we killed in the past? Well it's about 4,970 millions! Only in Brasil! All in name of JC!

How's that in Spanish, so I can truly understand the whole meaning of it? "La unica iglesia que ilumina es una que arde"?? That's it; just change "una" tu "la" so "la unica iglesia que ilumina es la que arde". It's incredible how much people has been slayed in the name of Christ; I myself am anticatholic, meaning catholic church; anyway I also feel ashamed of the old beliefs and superstitions we have here in Spain, which Spaniards keep on stubbornly. For example, I hate fucking Semana Santa processions; for all of you who maybe don't know about it, that's when a lot of people hold a Christ or a Virgin image and have a walk through the town. I hate that, 'cos most of the people who believe in that image so "fervorously" just believe 'cos his neighbour believe in another one, and so in fact, what they're on is in a kind of competition. SOme of them will say to you that they take those heavy images as a kind of expurgations for their sins... now fuck off! if you know so clearly you've got sins to expurgate why did you comitted them? and why you do commit these sins year after year? this fucking people cry if they can't hold the image, but the day after the "procesion" if they can step on your face, they will! so it is just an enormuos hipocrisy! a fucking lie! and that's what the whole catholic church have been through history! While the bishops and popes were getting fatter and fatter after spanish civil war, people had nothing to eat; didn't said Christ that the one who is rich should share his richness? why then the "representation" of Christ over the earth never have done that? I do believe in Christ, not as a son of a suppossed god, but as a man who tried to change the world, and so I can't accept the manipulation those bastards have over Christ's name. It's a pity that so many bad things have done in the name of somebody who was against violence. Ok, I'm sorry, but I needed a explosion of my feelings.

Soutrhem Troll to that you talk about with JC? Jesus Cristo amigo! I think that is the answer for your question! But i really don't understood it! I said that Portugueses, Spanish and other whites that came from america 500 years ago, killed a lots of indians in name of their God... Jesus Christ! The indian population in Brasil 500 year ago was 5 millions! Today it's only 30000! In other nations like Argentina they executed everyone! Don't have indians there anymore! It's shame me!

Well, I guess you want to say that the only thing these people had one their mind was war. That's true, but still it's something to be ashamed of; it's one of the things that make me feel ashamed of being from Spain; and it is terrible, you're right, that people nowadays put blame upon us, which I feel is not fair; it's just like accusing Germany people of being n*z*; a lot of people from Germany is ashamed by the things that were done in the 30's Y 40's; as well we Spanish are ashamed by the indian slaughter that took place during 16th Century.

you remember that phrase that said "the religion is the opium of the people"?(I do not know if it is the correct translation) You're right! my dearest suothern girl! I would translate it as "religion is crowd's opium"; as long as I'm concerned it was a statement from Marx. The idea is just that, religions (specially monotheists ones) have been a tool for repression more than a medicine for the souls. The problem is that religion is still so strong that its voice is still heard on politics. We in Spain can see it clearly, specially throughout this dark eight years we've had to live with the fucking Aznar as a president. But well, I'm not trying to stop all this interesting debate, but this thread was about the lyrics of Wooden pints in some other languages, so please, somebosy could send us another lyric?

This reminds me about what one airhead said once in the imperiumi.net's message board: "I'd like to learn Brasilian! And the Mexican language sounds cool too!" ;D Yes, and I've both heard Spain described as a. a Mexican province b. a North African state. ..because you'd get the Spanish inquisition after you in no time. Hehehe... Up the Monty Python... www.ai.mit.edu/people/paulfitz/spanish/script.htmlNobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!

I think that 'hot' debates -call them pollemic if that's the word- are born by spontaneous generation, so no one can help people talking about religion, politics, etc, etc... Sooner or later this topics rise, so you don't have to be sorry... it's just inevitable!

Hi Folks! Refrain:I tried to make it fit to the rhythm, hope it worked :-) And actuacally there is no German word like "yoiken", I just kinda "germanized" yoik by adding the –en, which you find in most German infinitives... not the best solution maybe, but I think there isn't really a proper word in any other lanuage that can transmit the "yoik hue".. Greetings! Carlina

Hello Carlina! Nice work too!! And I think it's perfectly right to add the -en ending to form 'yoiken'
