OK, here it is, with official approval from Jonne, my Spanish version of "Wooden Pints" (yeah, I meant the whole song!!). This time I'll make a literal version... soon I'll try to make it 'singeable' JARRAS DE MADERA Hay hombres, bajo tierra que nunca han visto el sol pero sí que saben montar una fiesta. ----- Hope you liked it! As you see, sentences tend to be larger than in English. The thing that makes me proud is that I've achieved a chorus easy to sing! I will work in the rest soon, trying to make a rhyming translation. Of course, I gift the translation copyrights to Korpiklaani (Can't wait to read it in Portuguese, Suomi, German... so let's go!!)

Puutuopit ----------- Miehet alla on maan, maan auringottoman, maan, jossa on ankarat juhlat! Miehet pienet alla maan, maan auringottoman, kyllä pitävät ankarat juhlat! Chorus: Puutuopeista juovat, laulavat, joikuvat, tanssivat aamuhun asti! Puutuopeista juovat, laulavat, joikuvat, tanssivat aamuhun asti! Poronlihaa on pöydäl' ja leiritulet valaisevat kynttiläseinät. Puutuopit on pöydäl': synneistä viis, nyt ryypätään kunnon kännit! Chorus: Puutuopeista juovat, laulavat, joikuvat, tanssivat aamuhun asti! Puutuopeista juovat, laulavat, joikuvat, tanssivat aamuhun asti! Sota nyt ohi on, vahvat jäljellä on: ruokaa, kaljaa, naisia riittää! Taisto hurmehinen, oli jumalaton, täys' surmaa ja kidutusta! Chorus: Puutuopeista juovat, laulavat, joikuvat, tanssivat aamuhun asti! Puutuopeista juovat, laulavat, joikuvat, tanssivat aamuhun asti! Here's "Pints" translated in Finnish by Holtiton.. ;D You can sing it too!!

Looks great! Soon I'll be able to read it and then sing it! Seems that you have had great care to make rhyme, if I'm not wrong... good job, Zorbaz! Although maybe I'm not the most adequate (unfortunately) to say it as long as I have very limited knowledge of Finnish! Anyway it is true that Finnish has shorter word-lenght than Spanish, but I think I can 'compress' my lyrics in a next version thank you, Zorbaz!! C'mon the rest!! Or it will be me who will try to translate Wooden Pints into your language, thus desecrating it ! ;D

C'mon beardhammer, do it!!!!!! Well, I assure you all I'm stupid!!!! or maybe it is the hour I wake up each morning. I have post my translation into Spanish in another place!!!! It differs from my bro's Raul a few, but it's almost the same. I've found the suomi translation far much similar to English that I would thought at first, don't you think Zorbat? I mean, it fits almost completely... definitely I have to re-start again my studies on Finnish, I could practice in the forum If only I had time Bye

I've found the suomi translation far much similar to English that I would thought at first, don't you think Zorbat? I mean, it fits almost completely... I made the Finnish translation in 15 minutes.. ;D I didn't translate it by word to word, 'coz that's not the way to translate lyrics, if you wan't it to be something that you wanna sing. I translate the THING in lyrics, so that the main idea is the same and so that you can sing it. The rhymes came into my text by accident.. Example: "And the brick walls are full of candles" would go by word by word "Ja tiiliseinät ovat täynnä kynttilöitä" I translated it in to one word: "Kynttiläseinät" ("Candlefull walls"). For a Finn there's the whole information packed in this one word when you have to create whole English sentence for it!! ;D Hehehe!!! I have these yet more.. Chorus in Shaman Drum would go in Finnish like this: "Mä mietin ja mietin, sillä vastausta jos en mä löydä, en koskaan noitarumpua saa, en voimia omiani.."

Well I'm not good with this but i'll try! I think that is right!

I translated the lyric in French, but I don't know the signification of " YOIK ". Can I have a synonym of "YOIK"

I guess yoik is somethig like yell, bellow. Is like what you siad for example when a little baby is screaming all the time and you think of it that it's like an animal screaming; do you cath it more or less?

Is like what you siad for example when a little baby is screaming all the time and you think of it that it's like an animal screaming; do you cath it more or less? Yoiking is the singing style of Sámi people of Northern Finland.. It was the trademark in Shaman's music before they changed their name to Korpiklaani..

Thank you for your traduction of YOIK, but this word is untranslatable in french Here is the french version of Wooden Pints!

Thank you for the translation! I'm glad to see you have liked the idea... and you've done a good translation job, because being 'yoik' a word so particular, I think the best thing to do is not to search a synonime but to adapt it to French 'ils yoikent' I will say "ellos yoikean" in Spanish! Thanks also to Holtiton for the explanation about 'yoik'... I knew it was some particular way of singing but not that it was of the Sami people. Don't blame me, Dave

My Dutch version. I tried to translate it word for word, so it doesn't rhyme or anything. It doesn't sound that good. If any other dutchies want to make changes just tell me...
Houten pinten.
It really sounds crappy and I did it from the top of my head, so there might be some discrepancies.
