Well, as I listen to music quite loudly, he must have boticed me playing KK. But in car he does not want to hear it. Oh my, oh my.

My mother doesn't like KK, but she likes In Extremo. Whenever I play "Liam", she comes to my room and tells me again and again how beautiful this song is ;D

Well I introduced my uncle and he really liked Korpiklaani but my aunt didn't I don't think but then again I don't think I've heard her say that she like's anything except for Pink Floyd. Also I played Korpiklaani in my photograpghy class and everyone hated it but me and my teacher who liked it because it sounded Irish then borrowed the CD for two weeks. But she did say that she would prefer it if there was more finnish singing on the album.

'Liam' is damn great, who wouldn't like it ? Well, I haven't introduced Korpiklaani to my parents yet, but I think they won't like it anyway. They are too old for this. But I've made 5 friends of mine really great Korpiklaani fans. One of them got crazy when he saw Hunting Song video, he talked non stop about it.

My father likes Korpiklaani' and Shaman's music. He doesn't understand the words of songs, but he says what "music and singing convey the point of lyrics very well". His favourite song is 'Beer Beer'

(for In Extremo is a German group...) Since they played on Bundesvision Song Contest, maybe^^ But Heidinn Hermadr is right, it's a beautiful song, even for non-metalheads.

okay my mom is really NOT into music...I think she has a boring life but my dad likes music... pretty bad music..he listens to DJ's and techno music. so, my sis and me tried to change his taste of music, and WOW, it's like a wonder happened! he discovered that he likes Korpiklaani a lot, and Fintroll even more!! we go to the next finntroll gig in 013 tilburg, but we can't go to korpiklaani the 2nd april.. he also listens since a few weeks to rammstein, the kovenant, ensiferum and he found his old alice cooper and black sabbath CD's but yeah..my mom stays a sad story, she'll never like metal or stuff

A couple of months ago, I was in the back of the car (I think being driven somewhere, (well, obviously but I can't remember where)) and my mum realized my sister had stolen her cds from out of their cases. So, diving on the opportunity, I offered to lend her some cds, and Spirit Of The Forest was the best album I had on me. She liked it lots too and found it really interesting. Then I lent her Voice Of Wilderness back at home. My dad walked in the kitchen while she had it on and he just looked slightly confused for a second, then stopped caring (I don't really know what he likes, I think old singers like Bing Crosby but no folk or metal). Now my mum has also listened to Ensiferum and Wintersun and Blind Guardian too, and some other assorted brilliant songs. She's quite wide-tasted.

Actually my story is quite the opposite. My 47-year-old, also an ex-hippie, father sent me the Shamaniác CD when I was a foreign exchange student in the U.S.A. back in 2003. It was a Christmas gift that he had picked up for me. He actually had went on and bought two of the CD's. First, he had bought one for himself, then another one for me. So thanks to my daddy I listen to Korpiklaani. ;D

Haha Fjola great story !
My mum really likes Korpiklaani, but Shaman even more, se likes the melody's and stuff. She likes Shaman more, because the like the singing. I don't know if my dad likes it, probably it's too folky for him. He's more of the heavy metal like Judas Priest ;D

Haha, yay for Judas Priest ;D My mom knows Korpiklaani, but she hasn't even heard the music I guess.. When I put on Voice of Wilderness and handed her the cd-booklet, she was all like: 'whaaah they're fluffy! *laughs*' (well, I'd have to agree with that - at least Cane is ). Anyway, she decided to focus on the booklet instead of the music
