I play bass for one and half year. It's the fourth instrument I play. I would like to play Bassoon, obeo, cello... but it's very expensive instruments. Now I'm bassist on heavy-metal band, I only play with fingers because the pick metallize the sound and I don't like it. At the bigginning, I often had fingerache and cramp when we played quick song, I only used two finger (right hand) . Now I have no problem, I use all of my finger ;D

I've been playing the piano since 1979. Earned my living by giving lessons and such since 2004, also played in all kinds of bands till that year. Recorders (soprano, alto) and pescussive instruments such as handdrum and dumbek for the last 3-4 years. I've been playing in a medieval/renaissance group for the last couple of years playing most of these instruments I've fiddled with the guitar since the early nineties, but never mastered the thing, I do play it like a lute though (fingers vs. pluck) 2 months ago I got a Rauschpfeife which is a medieval ancestor of the oboe of sorts, it's loud, nice and HARD TO PLAY! but I'll master it. I'm getting parlour pipes for my birthday - they are like scottish bagpipes but they are softer for playing indoors. Cheaper too. I also play Guitar Hero and Rock Band on the XBox but that doesn't count..

Actually, there are a lot of instruments that I wanna play, e.g. guitar, flute, bagpipe, but somehow I´m really talentless for that The only "instrument" I can master pretty well is my voice, I´m singing since may years.

I asked my Grandfather would he lend me 5-stringed kantele which he has made. He said that he will not lend me that kantele but he will give it to me. Now I have to learn how to play that instrument.

I learned to play several instruments, but I'm far away from perfection with any of them. Started with recorder in elementary school, later I got lessons in playing keyboard and accordion. I alway found that playing accordion was some kind of white-bread. The coolest song I've ever played during my lessons was Lambada. But since I know songs like Bucovina, irish folk or Korpiklaani, I changed my mind ;-) Also played flute for about 4 years, but in the end ist seemed to me that my teacher got more and more disinterested in teaching me (sometimes he didn't even come to the lessons), so I stopped it. For I'm a big fan of irish folk music I got a tin whistle which I try to learn autodidactic, but I'm just a beginner. When I get more advanced I would like to get the blackwood low D whistle from Sweetheart and hopefully it will also help me learning to play the uilleann pipes I already have at home. It is one of my favourite folk instruments and I couldn't resist buying them Instrumens I consider learning in the nearer future are bass guitar (I got one by a friend of mine who did't need it anymore) and chello. Another instrument I'm very interested in is the nyckelharpa. But it is very expensive, so I'm afraid it will stay a dream.
