My name is in Scottish-Gaelic and translates roughly to 'Forest Warrior' - influenced by Korpiklaani obviously.
And my avatar = the flower of Scotland!

My name is "boozytheowl" because my actual name is Boozy. ;D Ok, it's not the name on my birth certificate, but almost everybody I know has been calling me Boozy for about the past 3 years. Even my supervisor at work sometimes calls me Boozy. That's how far it goes! Haha. I like it though. I suppose it's fairly Korpiklaani-esque too. As for the "owl" part of the name, that just come from one of many long-running in-jokes concerning myself. Finally, the avatar. Well, it doesn't really need much explaining to be honest. It's just a photo of the lovely little owl sitting here typing this out. Hehe.

My avatar shows an old lace-maker. It's a very popular folk art from my area.

Katariina's not my real name, but I have a fixation when it comes to the name Katharina with the particular spelling, and lately I have used different variations of the name as my nickname on the net.
Usually I am into userpics with cartoon characters, but I tend to change my userpic according to my moods. At the moment there's a lady in my userpic, and I like the fact that her face is left out of the pic. The userpic is made by a certain artist at Livejournal.com. I love the image because the lady is seductive and stylish yet pin-up, and she is wearing a nightgown similar to mine. ;D

Wolferin - it's a mixture from the German word "werwolf" and the English "werewolf", meaning one and the same. The suffix "in" is for female in German. Yesterday, when I re-enter the forum after a long time, I thought of changing my nick to "Ragna". Ragna is the nickname I use in all other forums I write, it's just a name, female from Ragnar. But at the end I decided "wolferin" is o.k. The avatar is Red Sonja, because I have long brown-reddish hair. At that moment this is the avatar I use everywhere.

Juha!Have you get bored your previous nickname? ;D And what does this new one mean? Yes. Both nicks Virva Holtiton and Holtiton have already lived their time thru and I just wanted some change. HerraHirwi is my nickname used by my woman. I've used it already for a some time elsewhere. It's Finnish and simply means: "Mr. Moose" or "Mr. Elk".

That's interesting, because my boyfriend and I often have conversations about the differences between elk and moose - but we don't know what they are, so we make it up. Maybe there is no difference at all? Now I'll have to plug your new name into a pronunciation website so I can learn to say it!

Maybe there is no difference at all? The way I've learned it, the word elk is used of this great deer animal in Eurasia and moose in North America. But of course I'm not hundred percent sure about this. If anyone have some more information about this, I'd gladly hear it.

Branigan is my last name and simply translates to "fight". My avatar doesn't have a meaning. It's just a picture of myself.

If anyone have some more information about this, I'd gladly hear it. In North America, elk look like this: And moose like this: In the US elk live out west, mostly in the Rocky Mountains, and moose live up north in Minnesota and Alaska and Canada as well. Apparently the species known as "elk" in Europe is almost exactly the same as the North American moose . As for my name, dragnagen is my last name backwards. And my avatar is from a painting of an American frontiersman from the 1700s. The picture I used earlier was me hanging upside down from a tree during a flood (just to be stupid ).

Ǽcen is an adjective in Anglo-Saxon (The language Beowulf was written in ca. 1000) which means "of or relating to a wood or grove of oaks" I'm learning Anglo-Saxon on my own with some books, but I want to take classes. Because it's a deep part of my heritage, I feel a very close bond to the language, and Ǽcen in meaning matches my last name, Wood. In a bit of an imaginative way, it's kind of an ancient version of my name. My picture is Valhallen from the Justice Friends
